very nice, I pretty much made the same trip in June
Beautiful place , made a ski trip there back in 1995
Was out there in June, took a photography tour in 3 of the canyons. used a telephoto in owl canyon, just for the owls everywhere else a 16-35. there is a lot of dust as they throw dirt in the air to highlight the sunbeams in upper antelope canyon. If you have the chance do a night tour, adventurous canyon tours has them, grate for star photos
I just posted a couple of pics myself ,was there last week also, may have crossed paths. I was in Arches , Canyonlands, Bryce. North Rim GC. Pink coral sand dunes and antelope canyon area did 3 canyon tour, owl, rattlesnake and upper antelope. Did my tour with Adventurous antelope canyon tours 3 canyon 5 hour tour for $168. only for photographers, have to have a dslr and tripod to take tour. did the same thing in upper antelope kept all the other people back out of sight to get the pics of the light beams gave us a couple of minutes to get pics.
Couple of cell phone pics
From what i've seen on the news there is a major fire around Willow and the parks highway so travel up in that direction may be limited if not brought under control by the time you arrive
I'm going also to southern Utah, will be there June 3rd and travelling around AS of now taking my 24-105. haven't decided if i'll take anything bigger. like to travel light
I'll be there the first week of June, going to Upper and also owl and rattlesnake canyon 5 hour tour. it starts at 8:30 am. I'll find out than if its a good time of the year, I just googled photo tours and picked one that i thought would be interesting. doing it through Adventurous Antelope canyon photo tours, when i talked to them from what they said you must have a dslr and tripod . Tour only for photographers.
read a article in the vegas paper that the number of people they need to ride is nowhere near what they need to make money and the whole Linq area is not drawing the crowds and a few places have closed already. the High Roller may not last too long, and they are building a big ferris wheel across from Mandalay Bay also. Think there starting to overbuild at this time
I went down Saturday and just took my 24-105 and it worked out just fine. 24 was wide enough to get the whole car and the 105 did the job for close ups for a specific area
Been to the Polynesian culture center a couple of time, last time being last year and only restriction on photography was no flash allowed, which can be a problem at the night time shows. used mostly the 24-70 lens
was in Glacier this past summer, there are some great views on the going to the sun road. Also into the many glacier area on the east side. Need to get off the road and do some hiking to get great views of scenic areas not seen from the road. don't know if you will be pulling a car in Glacier or what size RV you have but there are restrictions on the going to sun road for length thinks its 21 feet and also width and height.
taking pictures in the casino will depend on the casino. i know people who take pictures at the poker table when playing. biggest no no is taken a picture of the cage where all the chips are cashed and money exchanged. in the casino its more of a privacy issue for other players. go to the palms and up to the upper level of the garage for a picture back towards the vegas strip. everything else pretty much mentioned. there are some old mines you can go in outside of Rachel NV. maybe run into some aliens
Best i've seen New Haven look in a long time, live just down the road
Hope its a great trip and get some great photos and the sun acts up enough to produce the Northern lights for you.
