Does anyone here subscribe to this magazine? If so, what do you think of it? Is it online only or is it a printed magazine also? I'd like a good magazine to read each month. Any recommendations?

It appears to be an online publication only.

Hi everyone
I am looking at buying the cheaper third party spare batteries for my P950 but they all seem to be EN-EL20 and not the EN-EL20A that is required.
The EN-EL20 is listed as being suitable but the hand book says not to use them.
So can I or can I not use the EN-EL20.
Or can anyone recommend a good third party battery that's tried and tested and safe to use.

And thanks for any help you can give me on this matter.

Cheer's

You might want too try Wasabi battery for your camera, I use the for my canon camera’s no problems at all. This manufacturer has a excellent rating as well. See link

This shot was taken this afternoon. The fire has burnt over 16000 acres in the Coronado National Forest in the Mt Lemmon area north of Tucson. Nikon D850 with Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 VR handheld at 45mm, 1/400, f10, ISO 100. SOOC no post processing. Bp

That’s real sad to see the fire. Your picture is real sharp very good detail.

[quote=truckster]His father said he'd make a deal with his son, "You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little and get your hair cut. Then we'll talk about the car."

The boy thought about that for a moment, decided he'd settle for the offer and they agreed on it.

After about six weeks his father said, "Son, you've brought your grades up and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, but I'm disappointed you haven't had your hair cut."

The boy said, "You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair, and there's even strong evidence that Jesus had long hair."

(You're going to love the Dad's reply!)

"Did you also notice that they all walked everywhere they went?"

As a lover of guitar instrumentals I was totally blown away by, initially, the concept of this instrument and then its sound. I don't think I'd want to try and tune it. Beautiful rendition of a timeless melody.

These two photos were taken within three minutes of one another--same camera, same lens, same f stop, raw, unedited. The one of the road has spots/splotches in the upper right, and the one of the barns doesn’t. This has happened before--any explanations?

It looks too me as sensor spots, I had a similar condition on my cameras sensor the regular cleaning didn’t work I had to purchase a sticky device made in Germany I found out Nikon service center uses them for hard to get off grime. Goggle it it’s the one with the blue gel sticky pad, I believe I paid $25.00 or so for it.

What’s used in theaters is a Digital Logic Processor DLP.

If you are starting with a digital image, then I believe the only digital-to-analog process out there is where that digital file can be used to generate a film slide - this is done using a high resolution laser that is used to expose the film, which is then developed and mounted in slide mounts. Here's a place that offers that service:

DLP (Digital Light Processing) was never an analog process - it is essentially a fancy mirror system where, rather than photosites, thousands of tiny mirrors are actuated on the surface with colored light being reflected from them to project an image (either as a rear-screen projection television like Mitsubishi used to make or in some movie theater systems). They are good, but not inherently analog, nor could it be compared to the optical enlargement of a negative or slide.

I appreciate your detailed post and description of test comparison example. I ask your help in “dumbing” this down so that I may understand in practical terms of what it does for me.

We have a wall space for a 24x36 inch print. We decided something wild life would be interesting. Presently physical limitations force me to shoot from my vehicle, but I know of a pond in nature center. Upon arriving at the parking lot, I spot a colorful duck sitting on a rock, but it’s far away. By putting a 400mm lens on my 33mp 90d (a 33 megapixel ‘Crop’ camera) I can frame a shot where top of the ducks head is at the top-edge, the beak tip on the left edge, the end of the tail feather on the right edge, the waterline at the bottom edge. (I know this is not a good composition but please ignore for now). I drive home, put the card in the printer and create a 24-36 print. The print shows a lot of feather details, looks good, friends admire it and we are happy. I read your post, and wanting to show my best work, I dutifully drive to th store and buy a 5d4. Upon returning home I mount the same 400 mm lens drive to the pond, park in the exact same spot, the very same duck is on the
