You guys gave me some nice advise, but nobody really answered my original question.
they have a free version of the app with 3 modes.
Triggertrap.com looks cool...
I started using these WB lens caps and they seem to do the job if used right and they are inexpensive and double as a lens cap.
I see a lot of talk about wedding photography here. It's an areas I'm wanting to explore.
What do you suggest I should be charging for photographing a wedding? Should I charge by the hour?
Z...I upgraded to CS5 and looking forward to trying it with my RAW files, among other things...:-)
I would suggest AI Servo for when people are moving because the camera will continuously re-focus once you press the shutter half way down. Try it...:-)
to freeze movement you need a fast shutter speed, like 1/1000
I still have it. These are the only pics I have. It's brand new, never used. I believe you can Google it to see more pics. Sorry.
As I understand it for the higher end Canon bosies if I use AI Focus and my subject moves within the frame the camera will refocus. Sounds like that would be good if you are taking a picture of a group and people are moving. On the other hand with AI Servo, when you and/or the subject moves it will refocus. Is this correct?
you can also looks at raw files with Picasa, which is a free program.
well... if you agree that data is lost then some quality must be lost as well. I know I've tried to blow up JPGs into large prints and they were pixilated.
JPG is a compressed file. In the compression process data is lost. So, each time you save a jpg over itself more data is lost. This will effect printing quality. You can save your files as png, tif or psd to preserve the data.
I think your vision is the key. Make sure yours is 20/20. I recently had a change in prescription which helped a lot when I received my new contacts.
There's also the ruler test. Where you set your camera up on a 45 degree angel with a tripod. Point it at a number on the ruler with shallow DOF take the shot and see how the focus looks. Try both auto focus and manual which will test your camera, lens as well as your eyesight.
