I've been using Luminar regularly for about a year and find pretty easy to use. That being said, I did spend a fair amount of time watching YouTube videos on the topic (check Jim Nix and Serge Ramilli for example) to familiarize myself with its capabilities (I should preface this by saying I had zero experience with any post processing software at that point so I would have spent the same amount of time on any post processing software). I chose Luminar because it runs on MAC and it received good reviews and wasn't that expensive ($69 was what I think I spent), I also did not want anything to do with Adobe which I have found over time to produce very buggy software.

Luminar does everything I ask for, its fast, easy to use, easy to go back it you don't like the way an edit turned out. Overall, two thumbs up.

I completely agree with the Apple move. Four years ago I gave up on Windows based PCs and moved to the Apple world and have not regretted it one bit. The stuff just works seamlessly. Photos, text messages, etc. are shared across all devices (Mac, Ipad, Iphone) automatically. Its terrific.

It does have denoise capability. Don't know if its as capable as the Noiseless standalone option. And, yes, Luminar does run on Windows.

I've been using Luminar for about 6 months (note: I never used LR but have watched some Youtube videos on it) and I am very pleased with it. Its seems very similar to LR in the way it operates with sliders for various filters. Luminar come with a bunch of free presets plus all of their filters have a handy little blurb with before/after picture about what the filter was designed for. The only thing I know it lacks is the organizing feature that LR has but Luminar is supposed to releasing that upgrade next year in an effort to combat LR head on. There are plenty of Youtube videos out there which will demonstrate what the product can do. Hope this helps.

I use Luminar and am very pleased with it. I never went down the Light Room path since I had an aversion to Adobe products from my years in the business world and the subscription model had no appeal to me. Adobe products were notoriously buggy and just mind numbing so when I retired I left the PC world and went to the Apple ecosystem and haven't regretted it one bit.
