I am truly an amateur photographer. I love capturing the moment for personal memories. I have a Sony Cyber-shot RX100 IV which I like a lot. I have been keeping up with this blog on the debate of DSLR versus mirrorless, and that’s not my query today. Has anyone seen, used or reviewed the new Sony Cyber-shot RX10 IV? It was released earlier in November. It is on the expensive side ($1,700) for a high end fixed lense camera with 20 megapixel and a 24-600 mm zoom. My local camera shop is not carrying it so I may head to B&H or Adorama. Thank you

Good choice. Have you read reviews? It's a very nice camera, and you'll save money by not spending any more for lenses. One long lens could cost more than that camera.
I also am looking at this camera. I’ll either buy this camera or the new 24-105 f/4 Sony lens for my a7ii. I look forward to reading experiences of other Hoggers.
I have a buddy who is a professional ( I know that’s another discussion) who has the RX10 iii and he raves about it. If you can live without 24 frames per second burst rate vs 14 and a couple of other bells and whistles like touch screen, the iii version has the same awesome Zeiss glass and sensor as the newer model for about $500 less.
I have the RX10iii and absolutely love it! Images are a bit noisy above 400 iso due to the 1" sensor but this can easily be fixed in PP. A great bridge camera. I also have the A7ii and compared the RX10iii images with the 55mm 1.8 on the A7ii and the IQ was of course better on the full frame but the RX10 images were very good.
I have the RX10III and it is very good and especially light and portable. I tested the RXIV and for still images identical to the III. I do not do videos and I will stick to III. I shoot with automatic ISO and I cannot see noise. Because I use it handheld I frequently set it for 1/2000 sec.
Isn't the improved focusing system supposed to be the big "seller" for the IV?

Not too good for low light situations? As you zoom out towards 600mm , the aperture goes to 4.0 not the constant 2.8 of the Panasonic FZ300. At 1/3 the cost of the Sony. Leica lens vs Zeiss lens.
