I shot on m31 that night and 2 consecutive nights after and I've got it stacked , all I need to do is align the planes because they were shot different nights and process . I do need the practice after a 2month hiatus , it's especially good that since I tuned up the lxd55 the guiding is coming into play, I guess it just took time for the white grease to work it's way around. I was surprised when I was able to not just bring out one polar cap but, 2 polar regions . It's not that great but, it don't SUCK and I'm looking forward to those exceptional nights coming up.

Thank you Sonny, the hiricane sure didn't knock the humidity out long after SHE left it was right back with a VENGENCE. hopefully my practice run gave me good settings for when the humidity goes BYE BYE and Mars isn't too far gone withdrawing.

Even though "Florence is gone the humidity and 90s hasn't left until this week, humidity is still high but, the temp is finally in the 80s. I was trying to get the settings set for the Asi174MM cooled and efw. I've never shot with the efw and especially not Mars but, there's no time like the present . Even though setting up and getting my alignment wasn't anything short of a sweat bath, I've got my settings set and I'll be ready when I can get back out after the humidity leaves. Flipped and rotated 2000 fr ea. channel.

Sonny , your images are looking great . I had a similar issue with a couple of similar problems with the old #216 Pictor and DSI lll the ports just wore out and wouldn't connect. At least you can get out , which is a plus in my book. Keep up the awesome work !

Dick , It has taken me 4 yrs. to get this much equipment {mostly used equipment} and I still need the mini v2 and software for the moonlite focuser and someday I may get a heavy duty pro mount. I've got my share of frustration and aggravation with using older and used equipment but, I can get it done.

Murphy's law , anything that'll happen will happen. ZWO cameras act the same way, try everything and then after hours of trying this and that "VIOLA" a miracle. Awesome images Sonny , glad you got going.

Thank you Dick , not too bad for an amateur disabled astronomer. I had to stick with it and results , results ,results are what I've been getting once I learned that time is the answer.

You've got several " Stunning images" , I've not tried that yet with my Panasonic Lumix . If I do attempt the MW what ISO should I be using and how long of an image stack should I program it to shoot , Just to get me started?

I took the tips and guidance that Ed showed me and ran with it, the night when Ed worked with me something wasn't right and it failed miserably. I worked tirelessly on my autoguiding and got consistent results that I could live with, I was hoping to achieve a finer line but, I'll take what I can get Jim. I took a photo of my guiding in June while testing and that crayford focuser that came on the tube is the biggest piece of junk.

GUIDING IS GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME

Brian, I was capturing @ 20s , back in May. I've had 2 or 3 nights a month maybe since May, nothing but, boiling heat humidity and pop up storms. The 14th of July I capture Jupiter and my efw wouldn't respond in Sharpcap , it still came out looking REALLY nice thanks to a cold front. I did get my guidescope and camera aligned with my main camera , I tested on the 14th with my planetary set up and it was guiding on a star around Vega nice without anything major but, it's still not where it needs to be . I haven't had the chance to do any testing with the DS setup yet. I've been working with the spacer plates on the Moonlite to get the correct spacing for my DS image train and this Xmas I'll get the mini v2 . A piece at a time that's the way I roll.
