I recently took some night photos of my house with christmas lights. The pictures are clear up to 8x10 but show a lot noise beyond. I used a canon 18-55 canon kit lens settings f11--iso/100--10 sec any ideas

IAM THINKING ABOUT BUYING A CANON 50 MM F 1.8 LENS. DOES THIS LENS HAVE THE 1.6 CROP MAKING IT EQUVILANT TO A 90MM LENS. IS THIS A GOOD PORTRAIT LENS. THANKS

NEW PURCHASE CANON T3I 18-55 IS & 55-250MM LENS. NEW TO DSLR HAVE NO IDEA IF I SHOULD BUY FILTERS. IF SO IS THERE AN ALL AROUND FILTER OR SOULD I BUY SEVERAL .WOULD APPRECIATE SOME ADVICE..THANKS RON

hello i am a owner of a fz100 and my daughter has a canon sx 40 i have shot photos with both cameras. i have to say can't really tell any differances. i like the video alittle better on the fz100. zoom on the canon is 35x and 32x on the panasonic when in the ia mode. also in the ia mode if you reduce the megapixales to 5 you can have a 50x zoom with very good quality pics when you have good light. i would buy the fz150 for sure it has better goodies for the same money.

thanks for the info. just had an 11x14 print made at a photo shop the exposure came out perfect. after i returned home and viewed my shots i realalized i should have turned the camera to horizontal. i think i was to excited to capture the pictures to think about it. thanks again ron
