Probably it would be best to buy a new flash that is compatible to the camera. They are really cheap these days. New ones as low as $35.

Thanks for the link. I liked the suggestion that you don't become a gear hog. In other words. GAS. Difficult to overcome sometimes. Do I need it, or do I just want it?

I own a Kenko 1.4 TC. Less than $150 and can be purchased at B&H. Three recommendations thus far.

One thing a camera company does not want is their own products competing among themselves.

Agree. The companies not so. But consumers will compare.

I wonder which camera will have the bragging rights now. The Sony mirrorless a7R2, E-mount, or the translucent mirror a99II, A-mount. Both have 42 megapixels. I can't wait for the battle of the Sony cameras. Soon to be an article of comparison?

So true. My husband was in 1st. Force Recon 60-68. He was on his second tour when the Tet offensive took place. That sent him home and a discharge. About 10 years ago he was going to be in DC on business. I rearranged my schedule and went with him. I wanted to see "The Wall" He did not. I persisted. We went. When we first saw the wall, we were not near it. He froze and tears started to well up. This guy who was walking up from visiting the Memorial stands in front of him puts his hands on my husband shoulders. In my lifetime I will never forget that encounter. We did not go to the wall. At certain times he says it feels like yesterday.

I remember when the Vietnam Wall in DC was completed and ceremoniously inducted as a Memorial. In the early years after the wall was completed, Memorial Day and Veterans Day were the most emotional to see on TV News. I was there during the Spring of 2015. When you see those 58,000 or so names on the wall, it is emotional.

I solved my problem by buying a dual CF/SD Lexar card reader. Don't even think about the SD slot on the side any more.

I am ordering a different brand multi memory card reader too, after reading your problem on the SD slot on your computer.

Personally, after losing my Canon SX50 because the strap caught and jerked the camera from my hand... OUCH... I removed those "hang on to any protrudence" beasts and replaced with hand/wrist straps. Straps are OK for small bags containing the camera. Quick release... well that is what they are designed to do and from what I read here... they are at times a bit too quick and willing.

Lots of reading of a universal problem:Google the following.... "quick disconnect camers strap failures"

What an unusual way to lose a Canon SX50 bridge camera.

Mt Shooter's link says it is an open box price of $1799, D750 with a one year warranty from B&H only. B&H is selling D750 reburbs for $1699.95 with a 90 day warranty. A new D750 is selling for $1996.95 with a limited one year warranty. The open box price is perhaps the gray market camera from the UK. And a reason for the reduced open box price. B&H gives you a one year warranty. Nikon does not. That's gray market to me. IMO.

Why not? I have one attached on my pocket camera. 2.7" LCD. Same type I have on my smartphone. You cut to fit. I have none on my DSLR. It doesn't fit in my pocket. Bubbles are somewhat difficult to flatten out once applied. But it prevents scratching.

I'm sure B&H will address this issue. And it's a D750 full frame. Strange, I just received two packages today from B&H, just one hour before reading this. I already have my cameras, but I'm planning to buy two new lenses from B&H before Christmas. Thanks for the alert.

The Panasonic FZ200 is a very good bridge camera. And the Nikon D5500 is a very good DSLR camera. I would recommend the 18-140mm or FX 28-300mm lens for that camera. I would keep the Panny for a backup camera. Good luck.

Ordered a 5d mark 4 from Ritz yesterday. Will be here Thursday. Did a lot of soul searching and review reading, but the dxomark review put it over the top. They gave this camera the highest marks of any canon to date and compared it very favorably to the Nikon 810 and Sony.

Congratulations on your new Canon 5D Mark 4. It will serve you well.

One uhh member about a month or so ago, said he had purchased a computer with a 1TB hard drive, and that it was 3/4 full in about six months. I guess some people really do need extra storage. Imagine what the cost will be for this 1TB SD card. Not cheap.

Thanks, Greg

Wasabi and Watson are two trusted third party batteries. I now buy Watson because I can easily order from B&H.
