Day # 4 - Date : Tuesday, October 17, 2017

All the moms and dads (shown yesterday as bird # 3) have left for warmer temperature. All that is on my feeders are the teenagers. There are still a few left but the numbers are dwindling daily. From a gang of 25 to 30 a week ago to just 3 today. But they will return next year as they do seem to remember where the easy food is.

Second photo is terrific. First one is just a bit cluttered. You might try some cropping.

Thanks for looking in and commenting on my pics. As for both of these pictures they have already been cropped to the utmost. One has to remember that this bird is very small, in fact one of the smallest songbirds in North America. It reaches the length of approx. 4 inches and is in constant movement in the bush looking for insects. Makes it a fairly difficult item to get a good pic of. These pics were taken using a 300mm prime lens at a distance of 50 to 60 feet. So, the originals showed a very small bird which I cropped quite a bit to show it up. Anymore cropping would have made the pic more pixelized and perhaps unviewable to a certain extent. Due to my mobility issues I was unable to get any closer to the location of the bird, hopefully in the future I will be able to do so.

Day # 3 - Date : Monday, October 16, 2017

Another day, another bird for youse to check out. Figured I'd better get a few pics of these as they are quickly disappearing. From a yard full to about a dozen stragglers refusing to leave the feeding troughs in my back yard. They are quite tame now, used to me being close so pics are fairly easy. They also know that I can't do much on one leg. :-)))). Enjoy!!!
