Whilte sitting on my backdeck, with my left leg convoluted after 2 surgeries. Alas, mobility is now an issue, but hopefully it will recover totally upon healing. But have no assurances on that. Tis up to the my doctors abilities and the wishes of the oldtimer up above. If it doesn't return then my favourite passtime (chasing the birds) will be down the tube. At my age, they say that things like this are reported to take a bit longer to make right, so will have to have patience :-) . Thusly to pass the time (and weather permitting) will spend the next awhile with my feathered friends in my backyard. Hope you enjoy some pics of those characters.

That's a beautiful photo of your chickadee! Keep sharing your backyard birds and have patience. You'll heal before you know it.

This photo is really easy on the eyes.
Also it's a good depth-of-field model for all to see: foreground and background blurred, subject and a little bit of foreground and background in focus.

Well if you can't chase the birds, you obviously can get them to come to you! (This statement presumes you are not British and using the term "birds" to represent "ladies"!) If you are in the land of chickadees then you know how busy a well-stocked bird feeding station can be - hopefully you have some suet feeders to attract woodpeckers! And hopefully you can get to the feeders without too much difficulty - consider it therapy! Best wishes on a speedy recovery!

Nice shot and good luck on your recovery. Just a suggestion with all due respect, give the bird a little more room to move in the frame. Too tight and tooooooooo centered!

Yep, sometimes you just get lucky. These characters seldom sit still for more than a second or so, gives you a chance for a quick shot only.

Thanks for looking in. Yep, they sure do. I'm on my 6th 23kg (50lb) bag so far this year. Another 2 before 2018 arrives.
