I just got back from a local park, and found the one and only squirrel that became my subject. I call her Miss Lucky because you can see an injury by her eye, and another spot on her fir down her side that has healed, I can only imagine but this isn't suppose to happen in a city park.
I'm just thankful I got to photograph this little survivor, she seem'd comfortable within reason of my presence.

The spots look like she has had "Worboles". A type of fly lays an egg on her skin while she sleeps and it digs in just under the skin. They hatch later and leave a hole in the skin, which heals over. The hair around the area looks messed up for awhile.
