Wonderful shots of some great planes. I started going to the EAA Fly-In in 1970 and didn't miss a day until 1986. I still go a day or three each year (dad's a Century Club Member and goes all week). Still fun and challenging to shoot the planes differently than in past years.
Bravo!

I use a Windows-based phone but I'm fairly certain that the few apps I use are available for Android/iPhone based devices.
Sky Maps Free: Helps me figure out what it is I have in my frame when doing astroscaping or deep sky imaging. There is a paid version but the free app does all I need (point-to-sky shows and labels stars, constellations, etc for where the phone is pointed; I can pin live tiles for the sun, moon, Venus, Jupiter to my home screen to give me their rise/set times at a glance (moon includes phase and %));
Project Tripod: Extremely useful if you want to take the same photograph time and again from the exact same spot and angle (first day of school, certain tree or landscape at beginning of each season, ...). It's meant to work with the phone's camera but by putting a device clip to hold my phone on a tripod I can set up the shot, remove my phone and get the shot with my camera. Plus I can share my virtual tripod so others can capture image from the same spot (or I can go get theirs);
SkyOrb: Recent acquisition, haven't mastered it yet but looks useful;
Astroller: Another recent acquisition I'm still checking out;
Foxit MobilePDF: As mentioned above it has small footprint and low resource usage;
Flashlight 7: Originally written for Windows Phone 7 it still functions well with Windows 10 Mobile. It uses the high powered led flash as a flashlight as well as the phone's screen with a number of options (pure white, flashing/strobing, colored light, patterns).

All are free, though some have paid versions as well.

I quite agree about having the pdf manual(s) for your camera(s) and/or lenses on your phone but would suggest trying Foxit Mobile PDF reader for your phone (and Foxit PDF for your computer) as it has a much smaller footprint, needs less resources to run and isn't a huge time sink to keep updated so that it's not a security risk like Adobe tends to be. And of course - Adobe Acrobat. Because there is nothing quite like having PDF versions of the manuals for every camera you own with you at all times.

Not sure what kind of external drive you are using for your photos. I've been using a couple brands for many years (mostly Western Digital or Seagate but there are others) for my 12TB+ of live music recordings (both audio & video) and they've all come with backup software with the newer ones having the ability to copy over only the new files (incremental backup) on my schedule or on demand.

Have you checked out what came with yours?

I have Canon's DPP and use it to create the TIFF files that I edit with GIMP.

I just recently began looking at rawtherapy and darktable programs but haven't really got them under my belt yet.

GIMP is not destructive. It is quite powerful and has lots of tutorials available (both video and others) on accomplishing many tasks. The newest releases also allow you to work on 16 bit files without having to convert to 8 bit. There are many plugins and filters available.

My last 3 computers have had NO Adobe products installed and my storage space, resource usage and "update routine" couldn't be happier.

Thanks, it's not the best shot for certain but it was a nice morning of imaging. I have another one or two I had some time to work on I hope hope to post in a bit.

I got in a couple hours more yesterday morning but haven't had the time to go through or stack any yet.

I've been trying to decide whether to have my T4i or T6 modded for astroscaping or pick up a T2i/T3i and have it modded and use the HD video feed for my captures.

Appreciate the feedback.

So finally had some clear skys for a while the other morning and I dragged my sorry butt out of bed and captured this. Working on stacking now (no long exposures with the T4i that morning, used the T6 for those [if you count 15sec as long]).

Particulars: T4i with Canon EF 50mm 1.8 STM on tripod in my driveway facing SSE at approximately 04:40 on Oct. 26, 2019.
Showing: Part of Orion constellation; Part of Lepus constellation; Great Nebula in Orion; Horsehead Nebula, Witch Head Nebula and more as listed at http://nova.astrometry.net/user_images/3170019#annotated

Very nice, reminds me of some I took earlier this year with my T6 & T4i with my Tamron 18-400mm.

My T4i tumbled out of my hands (I was no longer wearing/holding the strap as I *thought* I had secured it to the tripod) and fell 25-30' to the rocks below.

I watched it all in slow motion as I cursed myself for letting go of the strap and nearly went over myself as I tried vainly to grab it. I'd had it just over a week.

I berated myself nonstop as I walked around the house and into the yard. It was dark out and it took me a minute or three to find the camera, RF remote control receiving unit and lens cap.

I lost the battery cover for the RF remote control receiving unit (fiberglass tape to the rescue!). The camera still worked. The lens was fine. Not even any scratches. Didn't keep me from continuing to cuss myself out the next two hours.

I can highly recommend ZAR (Zero Assumption Recovery; https://www.z-a-recovery.com/). I've been using it for many years and there's a free version you can try.

I've recovered all manner of files with it. Even files from more than a couple "formattings" prior. Can't guarantee it'll do what you need but it has not let me down in over a decade. It works on hard disk drives, thumb drives, SD cards, memory sticks. I think it'll work on (data) CDs & DVDs too though I've never tried it on any.

A couple of Groucho Marx. Again no pp and just the 5MP jpgs not 16MP DNGs.

Here's a 350° panorama taken on a recent business trip to Cincinnati at a friends brewery (HighGrain Brewing) using my Lumia 1520. No pp applied. Can do 360° no problem but our server photobombed me and I had no room to complete the circle.
