Thanks for the PICS, Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite movies, not really into fantasy, but it struck a cord. Every few years I watch it again and pick up something I missed. I also enjoyed the airline commercials that were made using it as a theme
As a former HS wrestling coach I really enjoyed your PICS. Wrestling is a special sport, it is good to start them off young.
Local cattle getting a snack. Most everyone here uses round bales of hay, much easier to deal with. Once rolled out the cattle have a feast. Some people don't spread it and the cattle eat off the bale. Pretty day to feed, but when it is below zero not much fun!
Admired his work, the quality of the photography in Heaven just went up a notch... RIP
Outstanding! Worth getting up that early even if retired..
I have some great people that deliver, the mail, UPS and Fedex, Most of them are young, the older ones from 45 years ago when we moved here are retired, and some have passed away. Living a few miles off the main road in a rural area I have told them to just drop the package at our local country store if the roads are icy or the snow is deep, and give me a call and I'll pick it up. Every one knows everyone else here.
Interesting, I would consider using the site except for its location. A lot of data mining is taking place from what I have read from that part of the world..Maybe I am too cautious, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.. Your mileage may vary
Took this awhile back and just happened to have my old Nikon 5700 with me. Who says there isn't gold at the end of a rainbow
"Not all good I recall BUT we all felt safer."
yes there were hard times as well as good times, but I feel that is what made us what we are and an appreciation for what we had. Thanks for posting these old memories....
I admire hot rods, especially ones with quality workmanship, but I prefer vehicles the way they came from the factory. I have five Model As that are stock, they don't go fast, but fast isn't as important to me as it once was. If I came across one that was really beat up and past the point of restoring it at a reasonable cost, I might consider doing a hot rod, especially a '32 roadster that was my first build in 1962. Buick nail-head engine and running gear, by all accounts it was a jalopy, but I wish I had it back. Here are two of mine
here is a list of where 1928-1931 Model A fords were assembled, and to think most people think a global network is a new idea. Chester, Pennsylvania

Life is a journey, we all walk down a path, some of us go quietly, others observe and comment. I have several hobbies that I have done all my life, antique Model A Fords & Ford Mustangs, raising and showing Clydesdales, photography, carpentry, among many others. The internet allows us to share and learn from each other and make friends along the way. When I have a question someone will post an answer, when I see a question that I know something about, I answer. I feel that most of us are life long learners and for me the forums that I post on and watch are my extended family, it is the replacement of sitting around the pot belly stove at the local store and discussing things..
Yes draft horse are big, some well over one ton each, the Suffolk is the smallest of the 5 draft breeds and they often weigh over 1600 lbs each, My biggest Clydesdale weighed right at 2100 lbs. Belgians are a lot heaver than the Shires and Clydesdales. Hitch 2 or three to that road grader and they will move a lot of dirt as long as you don't bury the scraper blade too deep. At pulling contests I have seen near 10K pulled by two Belgians.
I remember when these were still being used where I live in VA, a couple of draft horses and they were good to go.
