A fine job on those birds. The first one is really excellent, you are in bright light and managed to save both the whites (head) and the browns have detail. Nicely done.

This past Tuesday I went to photograph a Eagle's Nest activities in Melbourne Florida.

For the Tech Geeks -
A Nikon D300 with a Nikon 500mm manual focus lens and a 1.4X Nikon Teleconverter was used to capture all these images. I used Lightroom 3 and PS CS4 to do all my post processing.

I would appreciate your feedback and critique on these photos.

Swamp Gator, Thank you very much for your comments. I will post GBH photo with some BG to see what you think of that one. Arnold

Ok Arnold, now you are cookin'! That's the idea!
Not only do I feel that having some sort of background other then blue sky makes the image more visually appealing, it's also nice to see some of the environment the bird operates in.
Besides, everybody already knows what a blue sky looks like. So why not show some of the local area and habitat in the photo whenever possible? Make it different, make it stand out.

Diet, Yes, that is one thing that happens, as important your depth of field increases as you decrease your f-stop and increases as you open it wider to f-4. Arnold

Well here goes. My 18-55mm lens can be set
to a f/4 and in AP mode I will have a fast
shutter speed. But I can also set it lets say
f/20 and then it would have a slow shutter
speed.
But does that not equal it all out?
Big hole, faster shutter
Little hole, slow shutter
