Go to B&H, under Photography, Bags, select Sling Bags. Look for Manfrotto Pro Light 3N1-26. I have the 3N1-36 which is larger. Cool thing about both is they covert to Backpack or Sling. I went for sling because backpack can be a hassle to take off or put on by comparison with a sling. The weight on one shoulder usually doesn't bother me but if for any reason it does it's a simple move to convert to Backpack. Either of those bags will carry what you need. The 36 is much larger. Wish I had gotten to 26, but I got a helluva sale.

Luck

Considering you are so much better a photographer than I am I won't suggest anything about fixing your brain. I'll just suggest you use me as your caddy. When you find yourself in front of something worth photographing I'll take something useful out of the bag and hand it to you. This will only last until I'm 4 or 500% better than I am now and you will either have developed sharpened awareness or you can get another caddy. ;-)

I just bought a Refurbished D850 from Nikon for $2100 in May. Why buy Grey .. or New for that matter? You might want to check NikonUSA. Not that this is unreset, but it had 1 click. Looks and works like new. Came with all the pieces that are typically in a new box, but it was in a refurbished Box (plain white).

Maybe you are in bulb setting. I'm sure you tried it but see if you can't lower the shutter speed by turning the main dial to the left a bunch. So sorry. Have a D5oo so honestly don't know. Turn the shutter speed down!! I know that seems wrong

Just FYI, D500 and D850 set all that stuff the same way.

He's taking issue with #1 being called the King.

Hey there all,
I'm going to order a new D780 in the next few days. I get different opinions on lens compatibility. Also, thinking on selling my D7000. I have 2 lens, an AF-S NIKKOR 35mm 1:1.8G and an AF-S NIKKOR 18mm-200mm Mini-Zoom. Would you recommend selling these 2 lens with the D7000 or are they compatible with the D780?

Tks & advise,
Donald

The 780 is a great camera. Buy a 50mm f1.8 and if you can a 24-120mm. I had a D7000 and the 18-200mm. I have moved D750 and now the 850, And also have D500 which is DX. I kept the 18-200, but never use it. You can get a 28-300mm fx lens, which is moderate quality and will give you the reach of the 18-200mm on the D780.

I'm no where near a pro. I own the 750 and the 500. My most important reaction: Except very distant or fast-moving subjects my 750 produces a better image. Even though I like the handling of the 500 better, if I didn't have the 500 I would not trade the 750 for it. The 850 produces significantly better images in the 750's wheel house. It is as close as you can get to the performance in the 500's wheel house. Unless I was spending all my time birding or shooting sports (spending nearly almost all my time in DX) I'd go with the 850. If I could only have 1 of the 3 it would be the 850 assuming I could afford it.

A while ago I was told to shoot the moon as if it were a rock with a light shining on it and that clicked with me. The post by n4jee and keywest305 feel right to me. I have not memorized the settings and I probably vary some but I've gotten good results thinking about it that way. Shooting with a D500.

4x3x4x2 = 96 ?

No ?, that is correct
To be precise, that is the solution, the formula is:
# shapes x # body colors x # trim colors x # sizes = number of variations.
Simply substitute the numbers for each element and that will equal the number of variations.

I had no idea how much exercise I would be getting when I bought my wife this lens. On her days off it is trips to State Parks, National Wildlife Reserves, zoos, etc. I am always exhausted by the time we finish. New interests for both of us. And it's a great way to spend a day together.
That's the canon 400 f4 DO, a relatively light lens for its size.

Hi ,I'm Marsha from West Virginia . ... . My question is the Shutter count is 176,550 . It is still working great .should I be looking at replacing the camera ? The manufacturer guarantee is shutter count of 150,000 . I know one day it will just stop.

Just my thought. Drive that sucker into the ground. If you get to say 250,000 clicks contact Nikon and see if they want to do a commercial AND give you a new camera. Or you could look at a D500. Best of luck.
