This Red-footed Booby was right in front of me two days ago. I do not always have a camera with me. (sinful!!) I had never seen a Red-footed Booby.
Duh!! My iphone was in my pocket. I think my head was in my pocket too!! Never occurred to me to use it. DUH DUH DUH!!!
The image was downloaded from an online search.
Maybe, I'll remember my iphone is also a camera. I do and have used it. So, how do I fix my brain??

OK Mark, here's one that might top your DUHism. This morning, sitting in front of my laptop, I made a phonecall to a tire place. I got the recording "if ....press 1". So my finger started moving towards the "1" key on the laptop.....😕

Mark, I do the same thing. It just never seems to occur to me that not only can I talk on my cell phone, but that it can also actually take photos AND do other things. Even though my cameras also take video, I don't usually think to use them for other than taking stills. Isn't that what a "movie" camera is for? When you and I were (much) younger, a phone was to talk on, a camera was used to take still photos, and we had movie cameras for taking movies - with no one device having multiple functions. Each did its own thing. We just have to train our brains to "get with the program". For some - myself included - that's harder than for others.
BTW, that's a great photo of a Red-footed Boobie (sp?) that you didn't take!
