I'm not sure how it will affect me, an R statistics programmer, but if MS buries Github, there are other developer sites.
BTW, I stopped using LinkedIn after MS bought them. I was looking for employment, and it changed to a hunting ground for headhunters, who wanted to join your group, but seemed to have no interest in offering employment leads.
Thanks for the link, Kubota.
Per a reliable financial investment researcher I know, China knows it cannot compete with Western Europe/Germany for internal combustion power, so they are concentrated on battery car development, and are well along.
Tesla is not considered a viable mass market solution, and is thought by some to be a marketing concept.
Nice, especially #1.
Ospreys have been building nests for a few weeks, and I just noticed the first great blue heron this morning in New Haven, CT

As mentioned before, Old Town and the Castle. There are 5 universities there, including Jagiellonian, the largest.
There is night life off the Old Town square. The food is fantastic.

Nova Huta, a Soviet era sector, a museum, if you will.
You can have a meal on a barge on the river.
There is a lot of culture to be found.
I have not been to a synagogue there, but the churches are magnificent.

Thank goodness my local BB doesn't have one!
I thought you meant to say Clifton, NJ, until I saw the red mill. NJ and hot dogs I associate with Rutt's Hut with Rippers, which are hot dogs boiled in beer.
Thanks for the nice shots.
Nice images of a nice old shop with some really nice old, guitars and amps! Where is this little gem?
I've been looking for a new GPU, and some of the prices are much higher than the MSRP, due to demand by miners. The actual mining can overheat and damage the cards, so buying used is pretty sketchy, and I won't take the chance. I read somewhere that the Bitcoin mining has less impact on the cards than the other cybercurrency mining. One forum mentioned that some of the video card/GPU makers are proposing cards dedicated to mining to take the financial load off those "normal" users, such as gamers, image processors, looking to upgrade.
Any new information would be welcome here.
Thanks
How did people my age forget to differentiate between "loose" and "lose?" I think that people are tired of correcting this, so the error continues to proliferate.
Hi,
I hope this is the correct forum. My son in Europe wants to transfer a series of one minute videos from his iPhone to me, here in the US. Email is rejecting the files because of the size. Any thoughts about a safe method? Facebook and social media are not an option for several reasons. Dropbox? Google Drive?
Thanks,
Steve
I've been considering the Lenovo Thinkpad T470 or T570, mainly because I can get a Thunderbolt port for quick transfer, and the keyboard is much better for me than a Acer or Asus, due to longer key travel. Not all USB 3.0 ports are as fast as the Thunderbolt, which is way faster. The 570 has a 15 inch screen and a separate numeric keypad, if that matters. These are supposedly more rugged than the Ideapads or the Yogas, which is important to a klutz (me.)
Chemicals are made scheduled drugs in the US for a variety of reasons, most having to do with health hazards or lack of proven benefit. The word proven is key, meaning there is insufficient evidence. That article reeks of politics and fanboy boosterism. Look, medical research does recognize the benefit of some of the compounds in cannabis, such as cannabadiol, and it looks like that, among others, will likely find its way into the pharmacopeia. THC is probably not therapeutic, and is a problem in some ways.
Your headline is disingenuous and misleading, and your statement that those compounds are not addictive is incorrect.
