I was in Thailand last winter where all they have is 220V wall current. Plugged in all of my rechargeables (laptop, phone, Nikon charger) without any problems. No special adapter needed, as their interesting appearing outlet accepted our North American style configured plugs.

A lot of variables there will be good days and bad days, however you will have more interesting light with the smoke in the air. You may find these sites helpful for planning.

I had a one time occurrence on my D7200 ( I can't remember just what I did to cause it) a few months and over a 1000 clicks ago. Resorted to the hard reset of removing the battery and waiting a minuet and reinstalling the battery. Everything worked as it is supposed to afterwards. I thought that I must have done something to overload a circuit. OEM battery that came with the D7200.

My train (and plane) contribution. Lucky timing of the pear blossoms and the "plane train"

The system works well. Took this hand-held the other day from 310 yards. D7200 with a FX AFS 70-300 f4.6-6.3. 300mm at f8 1/1000 iso 450 (auto iso) moving subject.

I spent 2 months in Thailand and Cambodia last Dec and Jan with my D7200 and the Nikor 18-140, I would use the same combo again as I was personally happy with what I came back with (3000 images).

Here is a link to a number of those photos, if you click on each photo you'll be able to see the EXFI data.

Fantastic remedy! I'd really like to know the model and source of the Odyssey case if you don't mind, it just might solve my transport problem as well. Thanks.

My observations on prices in general, except for cheap knock-offs was that any name brands made in Thailand we very close to USA pricing on the street, no great price advantages, anything imported from anyother country seemed to be quite expensive due to their high import taxes. Observations are from My last trip to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai that was 2 years ago, won't be returning till Dec.

Based on my experience, I wouldn't
buy from that source again.
