I took this pictures few days ago. In the 2-nd one I lightened brushes with flashlight. Which one is better?

I like the first one better with the moon's reflection through the trees. It gives some context and contrast.

Went down to the waterfront here in town last evening to try to get a better shot of a bird crossing the "red ball" sun... had my big lens, instead of the shorter one, and the sun was redder, so I was able to get a better photo... this is a Caspian tern on its way back to its nest for the night... 1/2000 @ f/6.3, 256mm...

These are gorgeous especially at 1:1. The fringe makes it look as though they are bearded.

The other morning I took a walk down to our lake to see if I could spot some ducks or geese. I noticed something in the middle that looked like a periscope.
I didn't think that Madame P and her new sub would be out here visiting us, so I passed it of as a Loon.
Now I find out it was a top secret Nanookian submarine. Tippit quickly promoted my wife Laurette as Vice Admiral and launched our gunship.

With Madame P. busy hunting down their battleships, the Cat Empire (Northern Division) was ordered to take care of that sub. Martian and the Kitty Council were notified and they will be planning the war on a second front. Those dastardly Nanooks will get a very rude surprise!

Love your story line. Looking forward as to how the battle progress' on both fronts. MorrisT

lamiaceae, JimH123, Bobspez, Thanks for your replies. I was just wondering after looking at the rig setup that EdGorm showed a picture of here on UHH. He is also using a "trigger" to be able to catch some Lightning. He is using the same trigger for both cameras.
JimH123, The link did not post.
Thanks again,

reading UHHer EdGorm using two cameras and it looks as if there are two different lens, can they be stitched into a pano and what program would be used? Are both cameras the same format (APS-C/FF)? Could mixed formats be stitched?

Using the old 80-400mm manually focused and handheld was a challenge.

Looks as if you met that challenge.

The membrane in the top of the mouth has a grid that prevents escape. Do all birds have this and can they control it?
