Just for interest I would like to have a look. Can you tell me your patent numbers? I think I should be able to find the detail with just the number.

Here is an example of a (that I know) non-working device patent. In 1985 Chet Fleming applied and later received a patent to keep a severed head alive - patent no. 4,666,425. I wonder if this guy wanted to prove a point.

Is anyone interested in owning this portrait of George Eastman? It's a beautiful professionally framed portrait measuring 39"h x 30"w. It hung in the Washington D.C. offices of Kodak, the same office that served the White House, and a few large commercial accounts, one of which I worked for. When they shut down the Kodak office a friend there knew I enjoyed history, snatched up the portrait and gave it to me. It hung in my office for years, but I am retiring, downsizing, and really have no place to put it. I hate to see ol' George head for a dumpster, so if you're interested, it's yours, just pay for shipping. (We'll have to figure out that cost once I know the destination and preferred shipping method).

Please reply to this post. If I get more than one reply, I'll go with first-come/first-served.

If in the Rochester area, don't miss the Eastman Museum and Mansion.

It's too bad he's no longer with us, but he left us with many hours of recordings.

My favorite singer overall. Had the chance to do a check on my bucket list when I saw him in Cincinnati years ago. He was awesome in Rigoletto, Elixir ‘da More and Pagliacci.

I know it will take me a long time to do this, especially when I get to my bookshelf.

Two interesting quotes of Sagan:

"It is the responsibility of scientists never to suppress knowledge, no matter how awkward that knowledge is, no matter how it may bother those in power; we are not smart enough to decide which pieces of knowledge are permissible and which are not. — Quoted in Lily Splane's "Quantum Consciousness" (Anaphase II Publishing, 2004)

"Every kid starts out as a natural-born scientist, and then we beat it out of them. A few trickle through the system with their wonder and enthusiasm for science intact."
— Interview in the magazine Psychology Today (January 1996)

Have you tried AOMEI partition assistant, the free version? You might be able to delete the small partition and then extend the large one.

In Fishers, IN the local farmer's market price for sweet corn is $10/doz, but it is fresh and close by. I try to use it within the week, but I am experimenting with freezing it and see how that goes.

Just beautiful.

We got rained out here in Indy. Perhaps we'll have better luck in November!

I carry my travel tripod for purely selfish reasons, so I can be in the picture too. That and for long exposures. If you can go around those two then you probably won't need it.

It can also work for self-defense, tripod on one hand and a flash set to full power on the other....

As always, superb images. If you haven't already done so, you should write a book on your techniques. I for one would buy it.

Aside of the technical reasons to make a photo, I've always said that the tripod serves a purely selfish motive. I'd like to be in the pictures too! It is also handy for self-defense: the tripod in one hand and a flash set to full power on the other.

I have a Dell KM7321W. I can put some pressure on the keys without generating characters. For some reason Logitech keyboards do not last too long on me. This one I've had it for a year and I'm happy with it. It is not lighted though. You can find it here and can always return it.
