I would go with the relatively new D7200, it is said to be very good... is your 70-300 DX? If FX, the DX equivalent is 450...

I have the 60mm f2.8 micro, and the Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro and use them both for macro and sunsets... they are excellent lenses period...
Get the camera with the better buffer...
A Nikon at half the price...
I second the 24-85mm, it's a great little kens... I also like the 60mm macro or the Tokina 100mm macro...good for sunsets ...
Try Price Chopper, I think there aisles are smaller, and generally less competition in this genre....
