All beautiful captures, and even more majestic with the substituted sky. No. 2 is especially interesting because of the diagonal the two birds make in flight. Great capture!

Amazon products, delivery, discounts, perceived value have all been discussed on this venue. I recently had an experience with Amazon that I would rate several thumbs up. It was a twofer involving 2 products so this post runs somewhat long. I was surprised by the outcome.

About 3 weeks ago, I bought some Crystal Light Peach Mango drink mix, 12 boxes - $39, from Amazon because it's difficult to get in stores. I didn't need it at the time so I put in my pantry.

Earlier this week I bought a 62 mm lens cap for my camera. It was to be delivered yesterday. Late in the day I checked my email and received one from Amazon saying it had been delivered with a picture of it on my doorstep. I opened the door to see, but there was no package there. Only conclusion I can draw is somebody stole it. Only satisfaction was that it only cost me $7 and whoever stole it got something that totally worthless to them. I decided I would wait til this morning to call Amazon.

When I got up I wanted to make some of the peach mango drink so I got the package out of my pantry and discovered that it was peach drink (no mango). To me, that's the same as buying a Reese's Peanut Butter cup and only getting a gob of peanut butter. So when I called Amazon, I had two issues.

I called and spoke to their automated system and after answering a few questions, was able to speak to a representative. When I related that I had received the lens cap and somebody stole it, I wondered how Amazon would treat it. To my surprise, she told me that they would replace it and was it OK if it arrived by Tuesday. I then brought up the issue of the drink mix. I said they sent me the wrong mix. She checked their records and agreed that they sent the wrong mix and would send me another one ASAP. I asked if I should return the wrong mix and she said no, keep it, donate it or give it to someone else. Both problems solved in about 6-7 minutes with a better resolution than I had expected. I made a point of telling her how impressed I was with both her and Amazon. I asked for her name so I could include it in the follow up survey that Amazon uses to improve their service.

When dealing with other companies, it can be quite a challenge and take multiple calls and a lot of wasted time just to get to speak to a real person and uncertain outcome. I think Amazon provides products and services that are well-worth the price of Prime.

Did you check your shrubs?

They seem to be on a trajectory to attempt an overtake of Amazon. But, are their products any good? I realize most are probably manufactured in China (or similar), and I suspect they are sub-par, but haven't bought any, or know of anyone who has. My question, have you? What has your experience been? Is the tool that costs $20 at Harbor Freight worth the $2.50 TEMU charges.

I bought a couple of items from them that were fine. After that, however, I read that their low prices were due to employee exploitation (e.g., forced back to back 18-hr shifts to make a living wage, child labor, of course), and although I have been baraged with emails and texts and received great a deal the first time, I won’t order from them again. I can survive with a bit less of a great deal in order to avoid supporting an exploitation system. (And, yes, I know, I’m probably unwittingly supporting other such systems, but I’ve read about this one.)

Octopuses have demonstrated intelligence in a number of ways. In experiments they've solved mazes and completed tricky tasks to get food rewards. They're also adept at getting themselves in and out of containers.

Thanks for the visit. That old wagon sits in a pasture not far from our mountain home in Banner Elk, NC. After years of seeing it and thinking that I ought to take a shot of it, I finally did.

Great decision to have it black and white! The tones must have just looked right thst day.

My Grand-daughter asked me to take pictures for her "pinning" for graduating Nursing school . Pinning is a formality that they do the day before graduation. Thes student asks the person they want to pin her in our case it was my wife . All though she is technically her step-grand-mother we have been instrumental in her life ever since she was born . A long story

But my problem is I shot 80 pics ,assorted shots of family , all of which I felt came out rather good . Inside it was necessary to shoot with no flash so without thinking I continued to shoot outdoors still with the "no flash" setting . I had experimented during the week and I seem to get almost identical pictures whether I shot A priority , or Program or "no flash".

Si felt there would be no problem ,outdoors ,overcast ,with occasional sun peeking out . Now in the past there are certain family members that don't like full length pictures (weight) SO I never thought to shoot any full length while doing group shots.. My Grand-daughter looks great from any angle.

So here are a bunch of the pics that I was told "LOOK AWFUL!" . Needless to say I was greatly disappointed. So tell me what you think. You can't hurt my feelings anymore then they already are .
Thank you

I think by “awful,” they are being unnecessarily critical of their own appearance rather than the photos themselves. The last 6 look like images a pro would take - the one with the flowers framing the couple could have benefited by closer cropping, as another respondant indicated with an example. I’d be proud to have those!
