i HAVE TWO A6000'S AND ONE NEX-6....

You can pick up used A6000's from KEH AND SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY...

I NOW ALSO USE A SONY A77 II AND BARELY IF EVER USE MY PRO NIKONS NOW....

The A6000 with the kit lens and a 40.5 Polaroid filter is the best travel camera I have ever owned...

The problem with the A6000 is that if you buy some honkin' big lens, it defeats the purpose of the small camera...so a kit lens with image stabilization would be appropriate...I personally don't like to use any other lens but something in the 16-50mm range but with image stabilization...

The A77 II is a beautifully designed, sturdy machine....the A6000 is very sturdy as well.....All these Sonys share the same type of features as well. So I like using both of these cameras now...and just the A6000 if I want something light to carry around....

Look for a used deal on one from KEH though....no need to drain your wallet ....I think the price of 1400 dollars for the A6500 is ABSURD!!

Hi N P,
like I said I have a Sony nex 5 t,,, I am thinking of the Sony nex 6 or the
A 6000,, for the view finder. I have a friend out of state that has the nex 6
and loves it..
I don't mind that the nex 6 only has 16 MP's...
I only have the 16 tp 50 Sony lens,, but have 2 adaptors,, one for Minolta
lens and the other for my Nikon lens..

Witch would be best for using the adaptors on,, the nex 6 or the A 6000 ??

What is a Polaroid filter ??

Thanks Bj

I have never had a problem with my Minolta then Sony cameras and lenses. But I am sure that there a photographers that have had problems. Check out IR factory tour of Sony. I was impressed with their quality control.

I really love my Sony nex 5 t, it does not have a view finder,, they say the Sony nex 6 will do something like 360 pictures using the view finder and like 270 pictures using the LCD screen..
I have 3 battery's,, so I have extra battery's when I go out...
My Sony nex 5 t does not have a view finder, so I have to use the LCD screen and the 16 to 50 power zoom... The nex 5 t is small, so they could not get a big battery in the body...
The Sony A 9 sure looks interesting...

I don't want this to sound like I am Bashing Sony, not so....

I have a Sony nex 5t and love it...
I was thinking of buying a new Sony a 6000..
I was searching for reviews and found some bad reviews in the way of warranty work...

I don't know if this is still true...

But from what I read, Sony did not do any warranty repairs...
They let a place in the USA do their repair and warranty work....
And in other Country's, some one else did Sony's repair work...
It seems as these places do not do good work..

Google it for your self...

I want to know,, has Sony changed this,, and are they doing their own repair work.... ???????
I also read where Pentax and other's were doing the same...

Just my 2 cents...
I have several Nikon's, my favorite now are the D 7200 and the D 600...
I love the Nikons, but I also have a Sony nex 5 T mirrorless with one Sony lens,
the 16 to 50 zoom and also have 2 adaptors, I can use Nikon lens in manual and
a Minolta adaptor to use the vintage lens in manual...
With the Sony a 6000 or A 6300 you can buy about any adaptor to use any lens..
My favorite Nikon lens is the 18 to 200mm...
With the D 7200, you could use the old Nikon Film lens,, just remember there is a 1.5 X crop factor,, like a old Nikon film lens, a 50mm X 1.5 crop factor = a 75mm
lens...
Also with the the Sony a 6000, you have focus peaking and Zebra focusing, witch is a great help...
A lot of Nikon cameras use Sony Sensors...
I have shot my Sony nex 5 t and my Nikon D 7200 in low light at Iso 6,400 with
good luck..
I can't tell you much about Canon,,, the only Canon that Ive had was a F-1 film camera.. It was there top of the line at one time...
I still have some old Nikon lens left over from my F 3 film days,, and I can still use them with my digital Nikons...
Good luck with what ever you pick.

You must have other lenses besides this lens. On the other lenses notice that you don't have the aperture ring that's because it's permanently set at the minimum aperture. You can then set the aperture manually using the the command dial in M and A mode or the camera can set it automatically in P and S mode. On the D5100 you don't set the aperture via the aperture ring so you set it at the minimum aperture (f/22 in this case) so that to allow the full range of aperture to be controlled by the camera.

Also, My D 5200 does not have the Focus motor,,, so you have to focus by hand..
And it is hard to focus, to see the green dot..
I used a old 50mm F 1.8 lens,, same as the D lens,,, its from my old Nikon 8008 Film camera..
Also, don't forget the 1.5 crop factor,,, so the D 60mm,, will = a 90mm....

Also,, You have to turn on "Range Finder" in the Menu,, and Focus in Manual,
and watch for the Green Dot on the left side, in the View Finder...so you will
know its in Focus... Also, you will have to watch the + and - in the view finder,
for the correct exp..
You have to set the F Stop and Shutter speed..
Good Luck.

Things are looking like my wish could come true. There is rumor that Ziva may return to lure him away or the reappearance of former flame Jeanne Benoit may be a hint of things to come.

I saw Ziva in her movie,, I liked her better on NCIS, I hope she does come back...
Tony has been working a deal with CBS for some time,, from what I've heard...
Tony's old girl friend did come back....
I still like NCIS better than the other 2 NCIS's...
Time will tell...

I enjoyed the video and thought it was funny, but the music
made me think of the movie, The Lone Ranger and that funny
white horse running on top of that train....

I have felt a couple,, one, the walls were moving,, one of my dogs, got under my desk in her Doggie Cave,, she is there now.
Her name is Sadie and she is a very smart Aussie...
When a Tornado is close,, just open the cellar door
and she goes down in a hurry...
The other Aussie, Rusty,, you almost have to throw her in..
One May, there were 13 people and 3 dogs in our cellar..
Standing room only....

I liked agent Todd, Ziva,,,Boren,,,Bishop has fit in...
