I bow to the greatness of those photographers.

And perhaps, the gear used in these spectacular images gave them a teeny bit of help. From the EXIF of #1 here is the camera used. It cost more than my Mustang Cobra cost me a couple of years ago. My favorite, by far, was #3, the cowboy. The photographer there used something to insure any & all info about what was used in making this terrific image, is not available for public viewing. Probably fears, and rightfully so perhaps, that it might be found in the hands of some ne'er-do-well looking to line his or her pockets.

Thanks, tropics68. That unit is precisely what I bought and what I'd referred to as a "tripod ring". As expected, it works great on the tripod but its quick release scares the crap outta me. I'd be worried I engage it while carrying the camera around. I've had the lens out all weekend and think I'm in good shape just using the camera lug nuts so an alternate mounting solution won't be necessary. Thanks.

I used a safety cord from the tripod to the camera as I recall it was a shoe lace. Never dropped the lens so I never had to use it.

Yes, though I'd go with like new if I shopped there.

Thanks

I have bought several lenses and cameras from them. I have also returned one or two. Never had a problem.

Hi. Looking to buy an excellent Canon EF-S 35mm f/2.8 lens. PM me if you have one to part with, please.

I've recently suffered some paralysis and have sold most of my photography gear. I kept one lightweight camera and would like this lens for it. I'm not giving up just yet. Thanks much.

Is this what you want?

I attached to lens/adapter to the camera and went on a hike around the neighborhood this morning. It was much more comfortable than the old set up since the strap set the camera snugly beneath my arm and it was no longer bouncing against my hip with every step. I'll switch to a wider shoulder strap but otherwise this was a huge improvement and makes taking the lens out much more likely.

I am not sure this fits your needs but have you thought of a tripod mount clamped to the lens body? I did something similar several years ago putting heavy long vintage 400mm vintage lens on my sony a6000. It put the weight of the camera as the only load on the lens mount. The tripod mount was on the lens. It worked fine but I ultimately decided the weight was not worth the results. Still have the Sony sold the lens with the mount. Good luck

50GB is very large. You would need a paid cloud service to handle that big I would think. Free one would only let you have around 2GB of storage.

He only needs 50mb

I have a PDF, a photo book I created, that I would like to share. The problem I keep running in to is that the file size, 59.9MB is too large for either my email, AOL, or Dropbox to accept. Is there any way that I can break the PDF into smaller pieces?

I have sent larger files on Dropbox with no problems. Make sure your Dropbox is not overloaded. If it is then you must either buy more capacity or remove some of the existing files. I choose the latter.

Always interested in camera gear.
Not interested in playing games.
I will not make any offers or counter offers.

Exactly what "prime stuff" is for sale?
What is the condition of each item?
What is your bottom line price on each item?

Sorry, but I can't agree with all of the positive responses. On July I ordered a Sigma 60mm f2.8 DN E mount and a Sony FE 28-70mm f3.8-5.6 OSS both listed in like new condition. I had heard great things about MPB also and even recommended them from what I had heard here. Well, the items were shipped well and quickly, but the Sigma made a clunking sound whenever it was moved and the Sony was advertised as being "like new" with all original packaging, which I assumed was the original box, which I wanted. Well, it was an MPB box, not the "original" Sony. Some of you may nitpick with me but these were not as advertised AND they agreed with me and sent me a free return label from Fed Ex with no hassle. I returned them within a day. Well long story short, I got my Visa bill Tuesday (24th) and they never credited my account. I called and asked why the delay and the gal had no answer, but would email me with one that night. She didn't. She said that they received it which I know because I kept the email that they sent and the receipt from Fed Ex. So now I've got $500 sitting in my Visa account which I don't use very often. To get Visa to send me a check for that, I have to wait a month plus the month that's already elapsed. I'm not looking for any sympathy here I'm just letting you know of my experience with them. And now, I'm gun-shy about purchasing anything else from them.
Sorry, but I can't agree with all of the positive ... (show quote)

FYI

It is normal for Sigma DN 2.8 e-mount lenses to rattle/chatter when you move them and the camera is off. It is in the manual. I have the 19mm, 30mm and the 60mm. All purchased brand spanking new from B&H about 6 years ago along with my A6000. All the lenses rattle and all are still taking very nice pictures.

Good evening all,

I wonder whether anyone dealt with MPB camera equipment. I am interested in a Canon 100-400 IS ii They have it listed for $ 1849 ‘like new”. Seems like a fair price based on B&H listing of the product at around $2300. Thanks.

Must be inflation in action. I bought that lens back in 2019 from B&H brand spanking new for $1899.00. That being said I sold it about 8 months later (great lens but I only used it twice) for 1775.00 on ebay. Make sure whomever you buy it from used, that you can return it for free in the same condition you bought it.

I only have used KEH and Roberts Camera on numerous occasions and both let you return it for free if you are unhappy and both offer a six month warranty (some times 12 months around Christmas). I have returned a couple of items to each of these dealers and no questions asked.

I was also a Canon user but changed to the Sony RX10M4 and am pleased with it but you would think that Sony could definitely do better with their menu. This is the biggest complaint that well trained photographers complain about. It isn't that it is different from Canon or Nikon menus, but sometime doesn't make as much sense. Keep using and you will find where you like to use the settings. Good luck

I have an RX10IV and an Olympus M1 MKII. I believe that when it comes to lousy menus the Olympus is easily the equal to the Sony. Both need a complete overhaul.

I’ve had Canon’s for several years - which I like. However, last winter I slipped on some ice and in try to catch myself badly tore some tendons/ligaments in my right arm My Canons including a 100-400mm lens are now too heavy to carry/use.

My wife bought me the subject camera which is MUCH lighter and - so far - appears to be a decent substitute……except it has so many software options, I am having PROBLEMS utilizing it.

I’ve downloaded the nearly 600 page manual but often can’t find the solution to my then current problem.

Does someone have recommendations on alternative learning sources?

Thanks

Enjoy it! We've been using Samsung for years. We've recently drifted to the Motorola Moto - $39 from TracFone. If I had to pay $1,000 for a phone, I wouldn't own a phone. That's got to be 99.99% profit, especially with them being made in China.

AMEN
