I really want to thank everyone for their intelligent and thoughtful responses. All good suggestions. I got back some 14 x 18 black and white prints for a gallery showing and they were so good one of the salesmen thought I had take the picture with a Leica Monochrome. So I may go to the new Em 1...will test it out. Or just lie down and wait for the urge to pass before I spend money needlessly. Thanks again to everyone. I love the group contributions.

I have two Olympus OMD 5 Mark IIs and 4 lenses ( 12-40 Pro, 15mm Pan Leica, 75 Oly, and 20 Pan). I shoot mostly street and some landscape and I send out my best ones for printing...mostly 12 x 18 and 20 x24 (my website is dhermanphotography.com). I don't do this for a living but I am serious about the work and take two 5 day photo workshops a year. I bought the Olympus because it was light and easy to carry a couple of lenses and traded in my Nikons (D 300s). Now I'm thinking of going back to the APS-C sensor for perhaps better quality and greater ability to crop more if needed. I was looking at the Sony a6500 and two lenses (the 16-70 for landscape and the 24 for street). The question is will this, or some suggestion you may have, be a worthwhile upgrade or do I have to go to a full-frame to realize enough of a difference to make the switch worthwhile? I hesitate to go FF since I don't want to carry around heavy equipment anymore and the a6500 is small enough to be discrete when street shooting. Thanks for your suggestions. David

I currently use the star system (1 thru 5) to rate my images in Lightroom 5. In order to clean up my hard drive I would like to know what is the easiest way to delete all the non-starred photos from my hard drive (it's external)? I have shot 500 pictures and randomly starred 100 of them and now I want to delete the unwanted pictures from that group and then want to duplicate the process for thousands of photos. Currently the photos are in year and date folders and keyworded for searches. Thanks.

Epm2 is getting long in the tooth. I'm looking to replace mine soon. Really thinking about the em10ii. There is only the back dial in the epm2 which makes for adjust functions like aperture and exposure comp a pain.

I just looked at all the Olympus cameras and a few lenses at a camera store. I'm convinced I have enough glass for me right now (the 12-40 Pro covers almost all my landscape needs). I checked out the latest Pen (PL7) cameras and comparing the size to the new em 10ii there isn't much difference or at least not enough for me. So until I change my mind, I'm going to get the new 10 mark ii when it's available as a second body to put on my small 20mm or 15mm lens. For photo worshops I feel better having a back up camera...just in case something goes wrong (always had 2 Nikons). I thank everyone for their great advice and contributions.

We can't even talk him into the 7-14 2.8 which would be perfect for landscape

I agree with your thinking, I just wanted to
explore all the options. If I decided to get a smaller interchangeagle lens camera which Pen Olympus camera would you suggest or should I go with the Panasonic GM 5 which is a bit smaller and perhaps newer?

That is correct. And since no one has given any positive comments on the Pen series I guess that's not a favorite?

It's funny how the new em10ii looks better at ISO 6400 than the a6000. So much for that middle of the road sensor ;-)

Thank you for your comments and you seem to be very knowledgeable on the mft system so I would like to follow up directly with you if that's ok. I do not want the 7-14 lens because it's very hard to put a polarizer on it and it's a bit bulky and I really don't need that wide a lens. If anything I would buy the 12 mm prime and have the 12 and the 15mm.

My question is whether any of the Pen cameras are worthy of consideration (PL 7 etc.)? Or should I get the new EM 10 or the 12 lens? I know you can't really answer for me but you seem to be up on the system so I'm looking for your advise...perhaps you have another idea I haven't thought of. Perhaps the EM-1? I believe you have that one. If you want to see some of my work my website is Davidhermanphotography.com. Thanks for taking the time.

For reasons that are not important I got a $1,000 credit at a camera store that I normally do not visit and I would like some suggestions. I just sold all my Nikon equipment (too much weight and space) and got the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark ii and I have 15 mm (Leica/Panasonic), 12-40 Pro, 20mm (Pan), and the 75mm (Oly).

I was thinking of getting an even smaller camera that uses the same lenses like one of the Olympus Pen series (perhaps E-P5 or 7) or the Panasonic GM 5. Or getting another lens but I don't need the telephoto Pro lens (I do mostly street and landscape)...perhaps the 12mm but I have the 15. Or wait a few weeks and get the new Olympus 10 Mark ii (announced this week) but that doesn't seem to add much to my M-5 except another body. The other two are smaller so at least it may serve a different purpose. I also own the very small Leica C camera.

Please feel free to make other suggestions and I thank you in advance.

David

As many of you know it's often hard to get unbiased advice from salespeople since they may get spiffs from manufacturers on certain products. Your advice and suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks everyone, this has been very helpful. Your suggestions came with opinions so I had lots of data points. Thanks.

The long zoom is not necessary. Wider on the short end is better for my street work then longer. Thanks for your suggestions.

I had a Canon S120 and gave it to my daughter. It fit in a jacket pocket and I took it with me when I didn't want to carry my Nikons (now I've lightened up with the Olympus 5 Mark II). I would like to replace it with a camera that has at least as good image quality if not better and I'm looking for suggestions. I would like to be able to make enlargements of 12 x 18 and still put the camera in my jacket pocket. A viewfinder is not necessary (but RAW is). I'm willing to spend up to $1000 but obviously if I don't have to I can always use the extra money on the 75 mm Olympus lens I "need". Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
