I know there are a lot of programs for creating a photo site on which I can share my pictures.
But I would like to me sure the program I select meets the
following requirements:
Easy to use
Preferably free
can add and delete photos and move present photos around if needed to reposition the photos.
can add lines of description to each photo ( Very Important)

Hopefully it will be a site that will be around for a long time.
Currently I use Shutterfly but they are doing away with their shared site in March.
Many thanks

I would like to visit B&H. Can someone tell me how you arranged it?

Thanks.

I go to B & H all the time. JUst walk in and look around or ask directions as you walk in
for the person or area you wish to see.

If you are going by subway take any 1,2,3 or A,C, E to Penn station.

Exit 8th ave and 34 th st and walk up 34th , one block to B&H on 9th ave and 34th st

Hello,

When I press the shutter button to take a picture
it clicks 3 times. I only have it set for a single image,
so I do not understand why this happens or how to correct it.

Many Thanks

Larry thanks for this post. I picked up the Mark 7 about two weeks ago after the recommendation from several Hoggers, especially Greg (Wingpilot). I didn't even know this feature existed, thanks for asking this question. I'm still trying to get the basics of this camera down. I will try Clear Image Zoom while still playing with all the features and learning. I didn't have this much trouble learning my D750.
Nonetheless, I'm enjoying the camera so far. My issue is I'm still not able to master is the panorama setting. I'm asking if there is a feature I might not have turned on or off as I cannot take a panorama photo. The camera continually tells me I'm moving too fast or I'm not moving in the direction of the arrow. I've gone slow, I've gone faster....yet still can't manage to capture an image. Also when I go extremely slow the camera tells me to move in the direction of the arrow which I'm doing. I'd love to hear from some of you Hoggers that own the camera and perhaps have some tips for me. Thank you in advance and sorry for stealing your post with another question.
Larry thanks for this post. I picked up the Mark 7... (show quote)

Yes it is a wonderful camera. Sorry I cannot helpyou on the Panorama question, but I am pretty sure other on this site can. Regards....Larry

Hi Larry,

Clear Image Zoom is a type of digital zoom, but not the usual kind of digital zoom that immediately degrades image quality. CIZ does it so well that the image degradation barely discernible. You can still make very nice prints using CIZ to bring subjects closer in, even better than cropping an image made within the optical zoom range.

Thank you for taking the time to give me this information.

I believe it doesn’t kick in until you zoom past 200mm.

I have the Sony RX100 VII (M7) with its built in 24-200 (optical) zoom lens.

The camera has the ability to use Sony's Clear Image Zoom which essentially extends
the zoom range to 400mm. My understanding is that the Image Quality is good
but not quite as good as just using the optical zoom.

My question is: when using Clear Image Zoom, is the Image Quality not as good
as just using the optical zoom, throughout the whole 24-400 range, or does the
degradation in quality only exist when you are in the 200-400 part of the range?

Many thanks,
Larry

I have not used it with the RX100 - but I have used it with the RX10 m4 - here - https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-749907-1.html I have used it with several other Sony cameras also - but with the RX10 I was VERY impressed !

I think the tremendous pixel density of the RX10/100 contributes to a very GOOD CIZ outcome !

many thanks for your comments

Two things: Your 100vii has clear image zoom which is optical zoom plus a little added for digital zoom. The images are pretty clear, much better than digital zoom, but a little less than optical zoom. See menu setting 2, 6/10. Secondly, I have a Sony HX80 which zooms optically to 750 mm. Because of the smaller sensor size, the pictures are a little less sharp than the 100vii, but I use Topaz to help clean them up with pretty good results. I had a HX 99 and was very disappointed in the image quality. The 80 is also almost identical to the 100 although the view finder has to be manually deployed which can be a pain in the you know what if you are in a hurry. The menus and settings are the same. This is also the same answer I gave you when you first asked the question under Antarticia.

I have a ZS70, the ZS80 predecessor. Yes, it could user a brighter lens and, for me, is a little soft at the longest zoom. The Sony HX99 has been suggested, a decent choice I’ve heard. Another is the Canon G3x, a 24-600mm equiv with a 1” sensor. The EVF for the Canon is extra, however. LUMIX FS1000 ii and Canon SX70 are also good. But, like the HX99, they are bridge shaped rather than the compact size of the Sony RX100 and LUMIX ZS series cameras.

I hate to say it, but what you are describing is the exact reason I will never own a Sony RX. This is one of the reasons why I went with 4/3rds.

Having said that, there may be a collector lens attachment for the RX100. Olympus was a big fan of such. The TG-6 today even has a 1.7X attachable telephoto collector which does not change the aperture and extends the telephoto from 100mm angle of view to a 170mm angle of view. Maybe some of the other UHHers have a website that has them. And if they were designed for the RX100, it will have very little affect on the image quality.

Then you want the Sony RX10 IV and/or you can use the RX100 VII with Sony Clear Image Zoom but you must be shooting JPEG to get CIZ. Very SIMPLE and nothing else to buy/fool around with.

Thanks for this info.

I wondered, have you used Clear Image Zoom with the RX100 VII
and if so how was the Image Quality?

Those 2 are the ones I would suggest. Also, the Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS200 zooms out to 360 (35 equiv) and has a 1" sensor. The 2 above are the much smaller 1/2.3" sensors.

If you would consider the larger bridge camera size, more suggestions open up. For 1" sensor models there are the Sony DSC-RX10 IV or the Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ1000 II at half the price, or the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 for just a little more. You can compare these here:

There are many bridge cameras with 1/2.3" sensors. I would not consider any without a viewfinder. Just go to:
