One of my local Walmart stores is advertising The Rebel T3 bundle for $299.99

Do you have a link that shows the closeout price of $239 so I can take it to my local Walmart?

A photo I entered, of Mount Moran in the Tetons, in the Country Magazine photo contest last spring has made the finials. This is very exciting for me---if you want to take a look and vote for your favorite go to
www.country-magazine.com/contests/rural-photography-contest
thanks

if that doesn't work just try countrymagazine.com and look for the rural photo contest

I would vote for you but I don't know which photo is yours.

I looked on Craig's list in my area (Baton Rouge and New Orleans). The price range is $300 to $350.

There is a chance that the suv could be stolen.

GC likes NIKON: Have the police check for stolen vehicles that match the vehicle in your pictures. You never know what might turn up.

IF anyone is able to get a clear picture of the license plate, do not post it on a public forum. Send the information in a private message or an e-mail to the op.
By posting the license plate information on here, that could open up some legal and privacy issues.

I would get extra lights up and operating. Light the entrance and exit up very well and set up a hidden security
cameras facing both ways to get a better shot at the license plate and maybe even the driver or passenger of the vehicles. Good luck.

The seller of the 300D that I was looking at called me today and said that he had someone else that was interested in it. I told him to go ahead and sell it to the other person. I had kind of thought against anyway. So now I will just keep on looking.

Here is a copy of the comments that I submitted about this.

The national parks belong to the citizens of this country. The national parks are for everyone's enjoyment. How much enjoyment will a person have if they have to pay $1500 dollars for a permit (a lousy piece of paper) for the right to be able to take a picture with a camera? How many working people have an extra $1500 to spend on a permit?

Requiring a person to pay this fee is an out right rip off and an injustice to the freedom of the American public. I believe that if people will be required to pay this fee, then you will see very few people that will come to the parks as tourist. In the long run, the Forest Service will be losing more money due to a very low attendance than this uncalled for fee will generate.

Here is an idea: Put this up to a vote before the American people. In the next election, Have a yes or no vote on the ballot and listen to the American people.

To the people of the Forest Service that are wanting to get this unreal fee passed: How would each of you vote on this?

Would you still be willing to take your family on vacation to a national park knowing that you had to pay a $1500 fee just to use a camera?

Would you be willing to pay a $1500 fee for a permit just to take a picture with a camera?

Would you be willing to take your family on vacation to a national park and tell your spouse and children that they could not take pictures of the trip because you did not want to pay $1500 dollars for a permit?

Thank You

The OP should just delete the "shooting straight out of the box" part of his ad since he is selling the body only.

It would be a better deal if a lens came with it. It is kind of hard to take any pictures without a lens.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I am not a football fan. I could care less about the New Orleans Saints or the LSU Tigers.

Far North: Giving it to your grandson is a good idea. I bet that camera would mean more to him because it came from you.

amfoto1: That is a couple of nice photos that you took. Thanks for all of the information in your post.

I want to thank everyone for their response. The Canon T5i or the Nikon D5300 or other camera (new or used) will probably be bought next year with my tax return.

I did talk with the seller of the 300D today. He is an older gentleman. It seems that time had gotten away from him. He did not buy the camera 3 years ago. He actually bought it after Katrina hit in 2005. He did buy it new then.

He is willing to let me try it for a couple of months after I buy it. If I am not happy with the camera, he is willing to take the camera back and refund my money.

I have not made up my mind yet if I want the camera. I am not making a fast decision. I am taking some more time to see what is in my best interest.

The reason that I am buying a cheaper used camera is to use it as a learning tool before I buy an up to date modern camera. That way I can learn about focus, ISO, and the other basic things that I need to know.

Thanks again. Ken
