This is one setting to try:
ISO 100 or 200
Bulb Mode
Open for 1/2 to 2 seconds
Aperture way open f/2.8, f/3.5 or f/4
Focus set to infinity
Take a look at the attachment
Also look for an application called EOSinfo (EOSinfo.exe)
It too will give you the:
shutter count / serial number of the camera / firmware version / batter level /owner information / copyright information / artist information
Welcome, absolutely fantastic bunch here.
The T6s is a great camera and I'm sure you will be more than happy with it and room to grow.
If you don't mind refurbished units, you can get really great prices from Canon Site on refurbished camera.
you can get a Canon 70D for close to the same price as the T6i.
I have a Canon SX50, Canon XTi, Canon 40D(Sigma 18-200mm), Canon T5i(Sigma 18-250mm), and a Canon 70D (Sigma 18-250mm)
I got the Canon 70D refurb from canon (with full warranty) and the actual shutter count on it when I got it was 21 actuations.
Just food for thought.
Either way, welcome.
get an air/moisture proof ammunition box. They are cheap.
Then put some desiccant material in also as a safeguard.
A Pelican case would do also but are expensive.
Make sure you get the 4th Edition of Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure"
Fantastic book. It should come with every camera.
if you are interested in a camera with interchangeable lenses, you may want to consider a Canon Refurbished.
Great prices, full warranty.
Canon t6i reurb with 18-55mm and 55-250mm lens is 629.98 right now.
Tough decision. I'm going to catch heck for this, but if you have the cash, I would go with a DSLR. You can use them as a point and shoot (set to full automatic) but it gives the option in the future to grow without having purchase a new camera. Both Canon and Nikon have great cameras. You can get a refurbished unit at great prices from the manufacturers with full warranty.
I'm a Canon person and have a few different models (SX50, XTi, T5i, 40D and a 70D)
The SX50 refurb is 229.00 now (got mine for 149)
Glad you got a chance to purchase one.
I love mine, great photos and the weight of the camera (at my age) doesn't bog me down.
I have a great PDF file I can email you if you PM me your email address.
Canon 70D with 18-55 on Canon site for $649 right now.
Op Tech has been very kind to my shoulder / back.
I have degenerative joint disease and my left shoulder and spine are always aching.
I purchased a couple straps and have found that the Op tech is the best for me so far.
My son like it so much he has two also.
I carry around my Canon 70D and my son carries his T5i and 40D .
Yep, that is me in those lines, there is a side road around it but that doesn't always work.
I live right near the Perkiomen Airport.
My mailing address is Collegeville. I work in Paoli and go through Oaks every morning and evening.
Nice pics.
Like the ride in the pic also.
Do you get out much? I'm in Skippack and my son and I get out a bit.
You can get the Canon 70D refurb from Canon with 1 year warrenty for $699 right now.
I got one a few months back (refurb from canon with 18-155 lense) for $689 on sale.
I love the camera.
Also I did a shutter count when I got the camera and there were only 19 clicks on it.
Nice shots. I keep saying I'm going to go but never have.
I work at Paoli Hospital up the road and live in Skippack and never got there yet, shame on me.
