Is it any good?.

I'm a fan of deep colors and doing what pleases YOU, so I like it.

You're not a restaurant, so cook it YOUR WAY.

No, no and no.

Movavi does.

If you have a Facebook account and if you enjoy black-and-white photography, you might consider subscribing to The Club of Black and White Photography. At least some of every day's postings are world class, in my humble opinion.

Back in the day, Spiratone (now defunct) sold these in their multi-page ads in Pop Photo and Modern Photo.

Glad you love your Nikon, but as my original post said it's the Ricoh or nothing.

I owned the previous model, Ricoh GR II. It worked flawlessly both for me and for it’s subsequent owner. Ricoh/Pentax is justly proud of their reputation for making high quality products. I would give it a shot, but only with reputable vendors. Be aware of any rules for returning merchandise and warranty provisions. That’s just common sense, but I’ll bet you won’t need them. Best wishes, Ralph

Than you, Ralph.

I am still sitting on the cash set aside to buy the Ricoh GR III.

I don't NEED it but I WANT it because of its small size and large-ish sensor.

Am holding back because of several possible issues that I've seen mentioned online.

1. Loose selector wheel.

2. Loose lens ring.

3. Possible excessive heat.

Do any of you own the GR III and are able to comment on these issues?

If I don't buy the GR III I won't buy anything. For me, it's either buy a GR III or buy nothing, so please don't suggest alternative cameras; I've done my research.

Thank you.

I've been doing a lot of macro but want to get closer. Does anyone have experience with digital microscopes? Recommendations? Thanks.

After much research, I just bought this 'scope for my nephew's 10th birthday.

I figured that a good 'scope might catch his interest and serve him through high school, and I was right. He has it locked away from his four younger sisters and spends much time finding things to enlarge.

He's happy as a clam.

I really don’t like being direct, but it seems lately some of our inquiries have become fodder for some ”members” to be condescending with comments and jabs aimed at us amateurs wanting constructive advise to improve our techniques and experiences.
In my opinion, if you can’t give constructive advice and comments, get off our forum!

Amen.

I wish the UHH moderators would cull the group of bullies such as Facebook group moderators do.

I took this photo 50 years ago and am still sad when I see it.

I posted it in Facebook's Club of Black and White Photography and got almost 400 responses.

BTW, if you have a Facebook account, the daily work posted by other members (not me) blows my socks off. Maybe some of you would also enjoy it.

Hello, I’m new here. My name is Tom.

I am considering the Nikon D5600 with a 2 lens kit.

Have you considered the weight of hauling around that camera and lenses?

Because you are 85 (I'm within a stone's throw of that), a one pound camera and lenses might feel substantially heavier as the day progresses (unless you are still robust).

Just a thought.
