I upgraded to the Z6 (from the D700) a year ago, and I love it! B&H has the Z6 (body only) for $1796 (which is $200 off their normal price) through Aug 30. The FTZ adaptor is $49.95.

Jerry, I would recommend that you check out the Rode products as well as Saramonic. Both have quality microphones designed for portable (Mobile) use. You should be able to get what you need for around $200. I have a Rode Wireless GO and it's working well for me. I use it for video interviews with my Nikon Z6. It would be useful for you to speak with someone (at your local camera store or at these websites) about your specific needs.

You could suggest a donation to the local food bank.

It's definitely a cotton-mouth, a pit viper. I, personally, would not kill it; would just make sure it was relocated to a place away from people. They play an important role in the eco-system and are good to have around. They eat small fish, frogs, etc.

I have had good luck with the Strathmore photo mount cards. I get the white classic emboss, 100 cards with envelopes. You can order these from Amazon. I print 4x6" lux at Costco for 11 cents per print. It looks very professional. I do have to manually mount the prints using the adhesive tabs, but it goes fast.

I concur the snake is a cottonmouth, one of our pit-vipers. They are usually pretty aggressive, so keep your distance. Like most snakes, they play an important role in keeping our ecosystem in balance so it should not be killed. You might need to relocate it to another area if it's too close to your house. They usually are near water.

I think Saramonic makes a 2-lav system. Rode does as well, but may be a little more expensive.

Must be time for his offspring to fledge. He's going to push them out of the nest with that stick! :)

If she didn't cut them apart, you could just rotate them (after one day) and it would be good for 2 days. :)

I used to do multi-image shows in the 1980s. We had 15 Kodak E2 projectors driven by a Clear Light Superstar system (five 3-projector dissolves and a controller card and software in an Apple IIe, plus a four-track TASCAM tape deck to drive it).

I did a few shows with 140-slide trays. Murphy's Law bit me one time... That was enough!

Normally, we put all our slides in pin-registered Wess glass mounts. Cleaning four glass surfaces and two film surfaces was LOADS of fun... (not).

Ditto for me, but my gear was AVL. Did a lot of "2 screen butt, center-overlap shows on 10x30' RP screens. Oh, for the good ol' days! The shows were fantastic for meeting openers--audience loved them.

This has been making the circuit mostly attributed to a Stanford Hospital staff memo. Snopes says it's a fake
memo. Too bad because it looks legit.

I have over 1,500 combat support hours in an EC-121-M flying in the Gulf of Tonkin. It was a great aircraft.

My father-in-law was on the USS Lexington (CV-2) when it was sunk in the Battle of the Coral Sea. He survived that and was sent to a shipyard in NY to work on a new battleship. Thus he became a plank owner on the USS Missouri. If you're a chief gunner, you can't do any better than that.
