Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I will look into the Tokina 12-28 F4 AT-XPRO DX. I hadnt thought about that lens. I do own a good 18-200mm Nikon and a 50mm Nikon lens. The 18-200mm is what I use most of the time.
I hadnt thought about the distortion correction. I do use CS6 and the lens correction in the raw camera portion of it. That is the only lens correction program I own.
I am considering buying the Tokina 11-16mm to use with my Nikon D7100. I am not sure if I should buy the Tokina 11-16mm f/2,8 AT-X, or if I should pay more, and buy the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 DX II. Has anyone had experience using either one or both of these with the Nikon D7100? If so, which lens would you recommend buying?
Phil, I love your photos on your link. May I ask what lens you used on your D7100 when you took photo #1555 (the one with the bird flying)?

[quote=angiehunt]I'm a writer and I would expect to pay no more than $200-$300 for an entire cover. So I wouldn't pay more than $50 for a cover photo.
I Agree with Angie.
