I feel the same way, most of the time. Character vs culture sums it up nicely. I grew up with Tri-X and HP5 in my cameras, doing all my own darkroom work. So I love portraits in B&W. My early work in high school and college got me in the door in the portrait industry that lasted 33 years.
The great thing about digital is that you can decide after the fact how you want it to look — much more easily than with film.
