Maybe put the lens, filter down, on a rubber jar lid removal aid, press down slightly to get traction on the rubber and twist while pressing down. This will distribute the force evenly on the filter ring without "pinching' the ring.
Any excessive force on the filter ring, like when using fingers, MAY deform the filter ring enough to pinch the ring, making certain points tighter on the thing it's mounted on.

Maybe try laying the filter on ice for a bit to help contract (shrink) the filter ring. But not too long, you want the filter ring colder than what it is mounted on. Too long, both pieces will be the same temp again.

That was the idea. I have a theory. I thought that Microsoft when they offered free upgrade to Windows 10 they intended to get everyone on Windows 10 and then upgrading it gradually without changing its name. I think they intended to switch it over the subscription model so that you have to subscribe to get the update.
However, Windows 11 I think was an idea to sell hardware. If you want Windows 11 many people will have to buy new hardware. So I think the hardware manufacturers paid Microsoft to do that.
