Of course. That is a reflex.
The images on the first card were OK. None were even able to open on the 2nd card. With both of those cards out of the camera, a 3rd SD card also was unwriteable.
This past weekend, I was on a planned shoot and set up to get images of thee women riding some very nice looking horses in a field. I was using my hitherto trusty Canon 5D Mark IV. I had mostly filled my SD card and switched it out for a new similar formatted card. Suddenly, my 5D Mark iv hiccuped and started over exposing every single frame and filling frames with white squares. There were no usable frames. Has anyone had a similar experience? The folks at Canon were no help and all their repair centers are closed. Dan Blackburn
Poppy bloom in Antelope Valley is much better than expected. The late rain appears to have saved it. The poppies are somewhat shorter than usual but plentiful enough to fill your frame with gold. However, it seems over eager authorities have begun blocking access to both the preserve and the surrounding fields due to virus concerns that seem not much concern as people were doing good job of self-isolating -- and creating a lot of lovely extra space.
I vote for the cigar but prefer to add rum.
I like David Busch's book.I find it really accessible and helpful. I am not aware of any others buut when I et a chance I will double check my bookcase.
Linda...I am like you. Since I shoot both landscape and wildlife, I often float the ISO and if it needs any adjusting, I usually do that in Photoshop.
Before all the software, I took photos on film. That is the weird stuff that sometimes comes apart in your hands. And they actually sold pretty well, too. And you?
If you can find one, the Nikon Coolscan IV ED does a good job scanning slides. This is the last scanner that Nikon produced and the software has been updated by Ed Hamrick and the combination of the hardware and the software update is very good.
I am using the Canon 70-300 today to shoot humming birds in my back yard. Plus the 5Div and the results are very good. I highly recommend that lens.Plus a monopod.
Topaz has an excellent program in several versions. I have used the program for several years and been very pleased with the results. And now they have upgraded it to AI.
Bob....Where in North Central Indiana?? I grew up in La Porte not far from the red barn.
Right place. Right time. Some times that really works.
I have used ArtBeat Studios in Orange County CA for several years now and been VERY pleased/. Last time I checked, they do custom sizing. Their metal prints are excellent.
I would not avoid the used market -- especially with refurb bodies. The truth is that many (maybe most) refurb bodies and related gear are better than new. I have on occasion taken a brand new body into a manufacturer's repair facility and have had it come back is better shape than when it went in. My results have been consistently good.
