Interesting to see them lift the building like that. One might, however, think God might be a little more careful about where He sends floods, as apparently He doesn't give a dam... ; )

That was SOOO bad!!!!!! What a sense of humor!

Looks to me that the church is being prepped to move it to a different location.

I have previously mentioned my trip to Utah and Arizona. I will arrive in Vegas late evening on September 12. I have one week to get back to Vegas for my return flight. I have been to Bryce and Zion in the past. What suggestions do you have regarding the week of my trip? Antelope and Cardiac Canyons? What else? I am an older fart, so I don’t want to make this trip an extreme endurance. Thanks for your advice. BTW, I will be taking my D7000 and a few lenses.

I would think after the first year this happened, the 4H would realize they need to find another location for the event. I seriously doubt any President would be aware of these kinds of situations. The Secret Service controls the situation. Maybe the 4H will consider a different location next year.

I was just about to turn 19. I went down to the Cape to see the launch of Apollo 11. What a THRILL!!! At the time, I was also involved in amateur rocketry and so that was a very special time for me. Later I was able to visit the Cape and see the launch of Apollo 16 and 17. And, I was able visit the "viewing area" and witness the launch of the first Space Shuttle.

I like the first one. The second one is beautiful but I have seen many photos like it. The first is "exceptional."

I have a question related to the OP. If I am only able to take one tour, should it be Antelope Canyon during the daytime period or the night tour? Going mid September.

Thanks for all who have commented. I will take a Photographers tour. Now, I need to find use of a good wide angle lens. My widest is an 18-105 mm telephoto. Also, if I start a Kickstarter campaign to fund my trip, do you think there will be enough people to pay all of my expenses?:)

I am going to spend a week in southern Utah and northern Arizona in mid September. I plan to visit and photograph Antelope Canyon. Is the photographer tour worth the expense compared with the regular tours? How much to rent a tripod?...I really do not want to lug my tripod all the way across the country! What accessories are a must for touring this part of the country? I am using a D7000. Thanks in advance!

I have eight cards that change out every day/every other day, depending on how much is on them.
I have no problem with changing one in the middle of the day if necessary. There is always some kind of "break" at some point.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic with this post. I thought others would realize I was referring to us "Ugly Hedgehogs" when I posted the link.
