Or an attempt to out smart Mother Nature.
I don't know when this church was built but it has had at least two additions and been flooded three times in the last ten years. The flooding is caused due to new levees and loss of flood plains down stream.

Got a long way to go to get to God. I hear he hangs out at 10,000 feet and above. Interesting photo.

Seems curious that it has been raised but doesn't have access for the congregation. Are they planning on moving it to a new location?

Interesting to see them lift the building like that. One might, however, think God might be a little more careful about where He sends floods, as apparently He doesn't give a dam... ; )
