I found these on my laptop. Some of the stuff I did last month or so has some cool shots. I'll have to pull them off my backup hard drive at my office.

Ditto Jules’ comment.Awesome work...keep posting. For my education, what camera ? Lens ? Settings ? Thanks. Paul

All but Strasburg was shot with a Canon 1DX and a 300L F 2.8 Lens.
Strasburg I believe was shot with a Canon 5Ti and a 300L F4 lens.

The last post Paul: Nikon D500 200-500 5.6 vr 1/1600 at 5.6 iso around 200 white balance daylight. Active D lighting used in normal for shadows/highlights (help a little)

Now that's some funny stuff there. I have a doctors note that says I am allergic to Nikon and can't play today.

Paul number six is my favorite of the gallery of some nice work. Keep it up. Timing is spot on and ready for a frame and a location on your wall.

Thanks Jules, I have a day game next Saturday. OKS vs TTU. Hopefully neither team will be black on black. So far this season my high school and college games have been a drag. So the action has been minimal. With conference games starting, I am hoping the action picks up.

Thanks guys, Ill see what I can do this week on the rodeo photos. I shot so many this summer I had to pull them all off my laptop to my backup drive at my office. May have a few upcoming in October. And I have to make a decision fairly quick about shooting the PBR Global Cup in February at Cowboy Stadium again in Arlington. I have High School Football on Thursdays and Fridays and D1 College about every other weekend till the end of the season. And an occasional HS Volleyball game each week.

AI Sharpen I found was to sluggish and didn't do any better than Photoshop. Now AI Clear is a different story. It is part of my everyday workflow when shooting sports for the media. Sharpens and removes noise with one click.

Between my full time job and my sports photography business I haven't had a lot of free time lately. Here are a few from this month.

Excellent work Paul. I will be shooting at only 5000-6400 tonight at midfield. 1/1250 at 2.8. What do you set your white balance at? Auto or..

I run auto till the sun is totally down. I control everything on manual when it is dark so I can reduce noise.

I do all of that when micro focusing except the F stop. If I am using a fast lens like F 2.8. I want the narrowest depth of field I can get. If you are using like F10 it brings more in to focus. When doing my 70-200 I find the minimal distance I can be at 200mm at the widest F stop. I also tether to my laptop using lightroom to check the focus on my chart.

This isn't exactly the sports crowd on the Hog. I troll and post a few from time to time. Just finished 15 rodeos in a 4 week period. And start high school football Friday and just received my credentials for College Football and Indoor Track. I am booked all the way into December.

I recently purchased a used Nikkor 80-400mm d lens. I use it on my Nikon d7200 and I'm looking for a explanation of the function of the limiter switch? Thank you.

rnbass, they are usually broke down in 3 distances. It keeps the lens from searching as bad. Say you are shooting a football game. And you are shooting out toward the center of the field. And a player runs in front of your lens 10 feet away. The lens wont go from near infinity all the way to your minimum distance. And try to go back to your original subject. I use it alot in baseball from the dugout. I can't really get a 1st baseman from the home dugout with a 300 and I don't want the runner to interfere when he runs by me when shooting the short stop.
