Hi: I heard that you get special eye glasses for color blindness. I recently heard of one of my friends who purchased these glasses and was enjoying looking all the things around him. You can get one of these.
I recently bought a Nissin for my 7D MKII this is half the price of Canon 600ex. In fact this was recommended by B&H product support.
Buy from B&H photo. They are very reliable, good customer service and easy return policy. I have purchased from them for many years and sometimes returned items with out any problem. Even their used items are in good condition.
I would go for the Canon any day. Thats a good price for Canon 5DIII.

Thanks Alan for your detail answer. This is useful to me as I was contemplating on a 100 - 400 for Canon my 7DII. Did you say it will not work with the convertor?
