Used to use Square. Went to Sail Pay by VeriFone, they allowed multiple items in your inventory. Square will only allow this with IPAD. They are selling out of this part of the business, I will probably go back to Square.

have you used that input of the TV before? May be a bad input on the TV. Try a DVD player pluged into the same input.

The most common problem I’ve seen is the brightness on the monitor is too high. Are the colors correct between the print and monitor if not try calibrating the monitor. Another issue is matching the printer profile with the paper being used

You may want to take a copy of the print to them and ask permission. Also offer them a copy of it in the size they want. By them seeing that it is “art” and not an invasion of their privacy they may be more likely give you a release

I always take my laptop and external hard drive. If you don’t own or want a laptop look at portable storage devices with viewer that will download your cards such as this. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Portable-Data-Storage/ci/3369/N/4083163867 you could get a laptop for this price but you can rent a portable data storage device for 10 days for $78 from http://www.borrowlenses.com/product/memory_cards/Epson_p7000. This is smaller than a laptop and also runs on battery when you need to. With this rout you didn’t buy something you will not use again

JPG is JPG, TIF is TIF doesn’t care what machine it came off. Some labs have their own uploader but again it doesn’t make a difference between MAC or PC. Give us a little more info to what you and it is doing maybe we can figure it out.

I’ve been looking at the same thing and a vinyl cutter. Prices are not bad on the smaller ones.

A couple thoughts for the future. The old LR catalogue backups can be deleted. I usually keep the last 3. With time machine, my HD is attached to my router so it runs as a network drive, this way its available. I also don’t keep all my pic on the MBP just the last 12 months or so, the rest is also on a network drive. Network drives are a little slower, but you are not tied to that room.

If you use time machine it will auto back up every hour, this could save you. You don't have to have the time capsule you can use any external HD with time machine.

I am just curious though. One of you mentioned that you lose everything if you cancel your subscription. Does that mean you lose all the work you have done on photos in that program, because it is saved there, or do you just lose the ability to use the program?

you would just loose acess to the program. The files are still there. If you buy the software then later go to the cloud and let the subscription expire latter you would revert back the the software you bought.

The adobe cloud is everything the whole CS6 package, photoshop, dreamweaver and a lot more. If all you want is LR buy it outright. The cloud is only a deal if you need everything and upgrade every time the new one is out. The cloud keeps all adobe programs up to date with the latest. The big problem is if you decide not to continue and not pay the cloud you loose your software.
As wolfman said B&H is your best price for LR and a very retable place for all your photo needs.

Why would you go from a pro camera to a consumer model. The only thing I can see is weight. If you use your 5D on a pro level I don’t think you will be happy with the down grade, besides you know the operation of the 5D and using the 60D as a backup will cause you problems. As a back up you may not use it much and not be as familiar with all the controls, causing miss shots you may not be able to get again. I have suggested going to say the 60D to older photographers who are having trouble with the weight but don’t want to give up.

Don’t have one of those less than 2 hours away. All cords I’v bought and seen are molded plugs. I have repaired those but only temporary till the new one came in.
