Harvey, Im newer to the forum as well...and any advice is good advice. I to saw the one you are talking about. It was easy for me to understand so, I figure I would try it. I want to make sure that when I do it that my camera is directly screwed on to the lens...whether front or back! lol. Thank you all for sharing!!! Its all useful information!! Thanku you GBrown, and Jimni! ;0)

I have a 2 types of battery trays...one carries the AA's and the other carries camera batteries....you can purchase this other try online. It saves on money and carry your AA's around as back up. Makes it to where you have more options. They both slide into the same grip. Just order the one for your camera and body!

wow Harvey!!!! AWESOME! I would love to get hat close~! Im using the kit lenses right now...the smallest I have for my T# is 18-55mm I know I can get closer and am looking forward to trying this. again...is it safe? will it harm or destroy anything or parts? Can you use it on all of your lenses or just one size? I see that you posted many other sizes...and I seen it on youtube! Im so excited. Those pictures were taken on manual focus and just with my kit lens...I bet a quarter(joke) that I could get so much more closer using that ring! I will go check it out!! Thank you for sharing....got any others you care to share ?? I love it! Cool!

well, one has to wonder....is that the only quality work..or did you have other pictures such as nature...your backyard? a trip? or something that didt involve a woman? just asking. Its only my opinion...not that it matters much, your pictures are very clear and the quality great...but as a woman, I find it offensive when I come to a site that is supposed to show workman ship...not half naked bodies... male or female..makes no difference of course unless that was the subject matter. How could anyone compare to pictures like that if that the only work you do? What about textures and other things....im not discrediting you, but if thats your only subject then how could you know about different types of situations and settings...your only shooting one type of thing! Do you have other things you can show to use for comparison? I would love to see those so we all can get a better idea....this is great btw....talking with you! ;0)

nice.....well...now we know what you do! Yes, its tastefully done...just wasnt aware that this was that kind of site....is that the kind of practice that this forum does? or is this just a ploy to draw attention to either yourself or your work? Im not quit sure. But the pictures I have seen so far that others post....are no where near these...and I must say I prefer those to this any how. I think women get exploited enough...and to know that you support that ...I think is sad. I will keep to my pictures and comments...and those of others...thanks.

wait a minute...not to discredit anyone....great shot yes...(girl) but I thought we were talking about whether or not to get a second camera...not posting pictures of seductive half naked women....is this that kind of forum? What have I gotten myself into? Giving credit where credit is due....but man, Im new...and an ametur photographer....how can I both keep up with that and feel good about myself? lmao!!! ?? !!

Anybody here know about the reverse rings? I recently seen it dont and explained on google. I watched it on Youtube. My husband and I have the Canon T3i and the Canon 60D and the kit lenses. Can you get a ring and reverse the smaller kit lense to make it more of a a Macro lense? Is that safe? How does it work? Will it truly bring my subjects in closer? I just thought the way it was explained was cool. I dont have the budget to go out and buy a lens every time...with this affordable option if it doesnt ruin or damage your camera then why not do that? Whats your opinion and has anyone tried it? Successfully? Got any pictures ?

So, now that we bought our cameras and have some gear.....we are looking at getting some better software. Keep in mind that I do like using Picmonkey...its fun and creative. I have had the advantage of playing with Lightroom1 before and its great! So many options and the creativity that ensue from it is endless. However, I know that they have a student teacher version and the other version. I am not sure if there are any others that are comparable or if Photoshop can hold a candle....so many things to choose from! Want the best for the $ and the options to! Forum guests and members....please give me your advice...Im lost and overwhelmed at the options...and dont know to much about that software. It would only be for Amater phtography...some day maybe I will be someone but for now...it would be used for editing pictures and maybe selling one here or there...not for magazines and the big times! ;0) lol

great set btw! Just in my opinion...I agree w/ Mogul....having a second should be second nature. If you stick with the same or another body you can swap out lenses perhaps? I know that for us (husband wife team) having 2 bodies different lenses works so we can swap....and then there is always the unforeseeable....should that happen then you at least wont be missing pictures....just more money in pocket book! Good luck! Happy Shooting! ;0)

not real great but depending on your lighting you may have to use flash...or...if in the right setting in the wild.....the sun on the gorde provides the best quality!!! :)

these pictures were taken by my husband and I ....my suggestion is to be patient. If you dont have a feeder get one and hang it...they will learn your movements and get adjusted. When you feel you can get close then take your pictures. Ours lets us get about 2 feet away. We of course only have our kit lenses with our 2 Canons but makes no difference....its the person behind the camera! Enjoy your hunt...it will come, and I bet that not only will you learn from your mistakes but that you will get a great shot!! I will post one more on the one flying! ;0) Good luck and happy Shooting!
