I have a question...with all the google thats going on...and my husband and I that love to take photos and post them...to share on my blog and here...to post on Facebook...how do I prevent someone from copying them for themselves? Im sure its to late for the ones already out there but I would really like to prevent it from happening. Hoe do I get the Copyright logo and my name on the bottom of my photos while posting online? Any clues? Suggestions....HELP PLEASE!

1. DO NOT UPLOAD THEM AS HIGH RESOLUTION** That is what a lot of people would use for printing very nice photos that way. Only upload them as normal photos. 2. Put a watermark on them or your name on them with a 'C' in a circle for copyright. 3. The best idea would be simply to not upload them. If uploading them to say Facebook, you can also choose who sees the photos for a security level. Options there are: You only, Friends, Family, Public.

Sorry to say, you simply DON'T. The only way to ensure no one copies your work is to post such small images it would not pay to copy them.
Irrespective of copyright, anyone can copy, crop, modify, your work and claim it for their own.

Make sure you have the medadata is intact, but be warned sites like facebook strip that data. For posting on facebook, I just simply link my blog post and keep control of my images that way.

Of course upload low res files that print and watermark.

I always watermark (even though it can be cloned) and only post low-res images. Anything you share on the internet is free game pretty much....

Some people don't believe in watermarking. I do it because if they are being passed around I want people to know where they came from (unless it gets cloned or cropped off). I don't know a photog that posts on facebook without a watermark, but we all know how easily they can be taken off.

Never worried about it never really cared. Never had the money that would be needed to take someone to court who copied a copyright work anyway.
