In doing house clean up, I came across my brother's old Minolta XE-7 film SLR with a Tokina 28-200 zoom and an Auto Promaster 1:2.8, f=135mm lens.

My brother doesn't want them back. We are having a garage sale this weekend. Should I just let it all go for a couple bucks or is it really worth something?

I don' t think any body will value this was one of the best model l use to have XE 1 and that camera use to run without battery on one speed of shutter of 60 other thing you can check the lenses
Some them can work on Sony DSLR

I have a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 & use it all the time on my D7100. It is a constant f2.8 throughout the zoom range & is tack sharp, even wide open. :-)

Well thats that I have to look for 17-50 or 17-70 for my D90 you see at present I have 18-200 VR , 28-80 D ,35-80D and 50 mm 1.8D and Tamron 19-35mm

Thanks for everyone's suggestions on my past questions. The answers have led to my current collection of lens which I hope is coming to an end soon.
I currently own the following used on my Canon 7-D.
70-200 L IS USM 4.0
24-105 L IS USM 4.0
10-22 USM 3.5-4.0
EF 1.4X III Extender
Canon EF25 II Extension Tube
I feel that I have adequately covered all my Tele and Macro needs, as well as having a nice 'walk around' lens in the 24-105.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think my next purchase should be a faster
f-stop lens. I prefer to stick with Canon, and I want to get the most bang for my buck by not necessarily buying the most expensive unless that is the only one that will do a good job.
Okay, fire away, but please keep silly remarks to yourself.
Thanks,
Dan
Thanks for everyone's suggestions on my past quest... (show quote)

Why don't you go for 50mm f/ 1.8 or 1.4

My main concern about going digital is this.
Will the images I store on a memory card today still be accessible with a new computer in the future with a different operating system.

Why you want to store in memory cards store in USB keys will work with all computer and OS

It happened to me.You feel stupid when you have two batteries and you run out power In 2007 went to climb Snowdonia in Wales in hurry took the camera and second battery left in the bag which l left in the car so don't have to carry weight battery in camera finished after taking
130 photoes you can imagine reaching at the top and no pictures

Why buy a great camera with excellent metering system and opt out of using it? Does shooting full manual give you an ego boost? I take control with aperture or shutter priority and let my expensive built in metering system do the work, unless I am using one of my full manual lenses.
John

It does not boost ego but l feel auto mode is slower and some time camera gets confuse
