“The List of Adrian Messenger”, a very good film in which he played several MAJOR parts, along with Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis, Frank Sinatra and Robert Mitchum.

my younger self, I would tell him what mistakes I'd made and hopefully how to avoid them, but my Dad would be a very close second, and my Mum a third, apologising to them both for all the grief I gave them over the years

It's very appropriate. A'holes are everywhere. I recently almost killed one. It was dark out and he was crossing the street at the corner with his face buried in his phone. I came to the stop sign and prepared to turn left at the intersection. I turned my wheel and then got a strange feeling. My brain could not ascertain what the odd motion that was occurring so I slowed down while into the turn. Well! There he was all dressed in black shoes, black pants, black coat and a black hoodie. Remember, it was pretty dark out and my headlights were still shining
into the curve and not directly at the a'hole. He was at the other side when I lowered my window and said Hey, Pal. Do you know I could not see you at all when you were crossing? Get a flashlight! If I had blown through the 4-way stop sign like most drivers do in the neighborhood, I surely would have hit him head on. And, it would have been MY fault! Sheesh! Mine was the only car around at that particular moment.
I've got a couple more examples I could tell you about in recent weeks.
They are everywhere!

I was trying to be a little diplomatic, not wishing to get banned from the site, but yes !!!

I recall Sean Connery, getting a Best Supporting Actor Oscar, for the movie Untouchables. Also starring Kevin Costner.

Now a famous quote, typical of a person “turns up to a gunfight with a knife”

I don't think so Jerry, but the UK sales pitch now is for anything to make money and associate it with Christmas/Easter or what ever holiday they feel will make them money

I concur, Basil was the best, like Sean was the best James Bond.

ABSOLUTELY

A mate of mine once said to me that the 70’s was the best time for music, my answer to him was, that’s only because you weren’t around in the 60’s, Jeremy Brett was ok, but just ok
