I agree, a mounted photo is so nice. Too many sit in an electonic file, never to be seen again. I think great shots should be mounted & shared.

Two things to keep in mind.

1.) Unless you use a dry mount press or laminator, you risk the pictures coming loose over time. This will show as bubbles or curling. A problem with spraying is that getting an even, uniform layer of adhesive is difficult.

2.) Most people center the prints on the mat board. Quick and easy. The traditional way of positioning them is to offset them slightly to the top. There is a formula for that. If you are interested, send me a personal message.

Nothing as nice as a mounted, framed print. Probably my biggest gripe about digital photography. We have lost the art of displaying photos and selecting the very best images.

It brings tears to my eyes thinking of your loss. I've lost them before but the 3 I have now, I can't get use to the idea that one they will be gone. The only comfort I have is that my mother will be waiting for them.

I love them, I've owned 11 of them.

Hey paular, that's a whole lot of Minis mate

Yeah I loved them & wanted to own one in every colour, but I didn't quite get there. My favourite was one I refurbished, It was a Mini Cooper S, I painted it Candy Apple Red, put cute mags on it & completely renewed the interior. A thing of beauty & a joy forever.

Great shot

Lighting in the hangers make it difficult to achieve for me, images that are better than average. That is where HDR make it possible to bring out the best of the subject. Shot with Nikon D80 using bracketing of +2,0,-2 and dropped the images into Photomatix Pro and then adjusted color and etc. in Elements 8.

I use a 3 yr old outdated canon 40D 11mp camera. U can get the same camera n lens combo I use for $1000 online.

Where my advantage comes into play, is that many experts have stated that hands down the 40D has a higher quality sensor than many of the models with more mp that have come out after the 40D.

A friend of mine has a brand new $1500 canon 7D and my camera smokes his consistently. He can't get nearly the color n light variations and low light quality that I can. But then again he can't handhold at lower than 1/125 and I handhold down to 1/15. That tends to help, I rekkin.

The moral of the story is, when it comes down to getting great shots, I think it's 70% driver, 30% car. As long as you have a decent dslr and a decent lens, the rest is up to you.
