A few samples from visits to the beach and local waterfalls here in PA. Hope ya enjoy viewing my work ! Comments welcome. :)
Amazing shots. Makes me either want to smash my camera because I am not worthy or buy a better camera and move to a beach. My favorite is the one with the waterfall. Very nicely done.
That said: try a longer exp time. A pro model knows how to hold one. I find with water, the more time the better
I use a 3 yr old outdated canon 40D 11mp camera. U can get the same camera n lens combo I use for $1000 online.
Where my advantage comes into play, is that many experts have stated that hands down the 40D has a higher quality sensor than many of the models with more mp that have come out after the 40D.
A friend of mine has a brand new $1500 canon 7D and my camera smokes his consistently. He can't get nearly the color n light variations and low light quality that I can. But then again he can't handhold at lower than 1/125 and I handhold down to 1/15. That tends to help, I rekkin.
The moral of the story is, when it comes down to getting great shots, I think it's 70% driver, 30% car. As long as you have a decent dslr and a decent lens, the rest is up to you.

I appreciate your suggestion. However my focus is never on the background, it's on the subject. The environment is for ambiance only.
i agree with the fact of the 70 - 30 % ratio is fair.

the 40D is indeed an excellent camera... i've had one since they came out, and have gotten some killer shots with it. it may be "only" 10Mp, but do you really need more? and as you mentioned, the 40D is in some respects better than several of the models that have come out since - one reason i've hung onto mine rather than "upgrading" to a newer camera that isn't as good... maybe that's why my main landscape camera is a Canon 5D... a design that came out in 2005, but is still regarded as having image quality (not to be confused with image
size) that rivals even the newer, higher-resolution models...
Thx. In that particular shot I wanted the water to be as importent as the girl. So what u observed was precisely how I intended that shot to effect the viewer.

Kool.... it worked
Yup....right on. I plan to upgrade soon to a full frame but I will likely keep my 40D nearby at every shoot in the event the new camera doesn't give me what I need in a particular situation.

First, Thank you for posting classy model photos and not objectifying them or describing them in a trashy way!
They are all good, but I like #7 best. It's like she is the one splitting the waterfall in two, rather then the rock. Nice effect!
