Yes, it is quite easy to send it to PS from LR
I added the plug in as directed and to transfer I use Photo > Edit in > PortraitProStudio

Perhaps there is a right click or something I need to do to bring it back to LR instead of the Hard Drive folder.
BTW, I use Folders for my storage in LR, very few Collections.
I am retired and only have about 2500 images, it is mostly family and vacations.

I have no problems when I send a image from LR to PS for further PP.
However, I do have an issue when I send it to a 3rd party program, Portrait Pro, it sends it to the LR Folder in Pictures (Mac).

If there is someone out there that knows of a fix for that (3rd Party) or that there is no other way it is done, please let me know.
BTW, I wrote to portrait Pro 2 weeks ago and still have not heard back, lots of complaints about their support program.

Thanks,

Greg

OK, I am 74 and had a darkroom years and years ago.
I admit I am now a little lazy, so do not bury me, try and be kind.

After I upgraded to a D750 from a 610, I started looking and experimenting with the WB and choose to keep it at 5000k.
Now my situation may be a little different in that I use my flash (SB910) a lot perhaps as much as 90%.
I prefer fill flash when I am outdoors for "people" shots and isolated fixed things, obviously a building would not be a fill flash, but I was never big into landscaping anyway.
I will say this, it is ever so slightly on the Cool side BUT that is what I prefer over Warm.
I only shoot in RAW and use Lightroom.

After reading this I was initially tempted to try AWB again, but my lazy side of my brain quickly kicked in and said: Noooooooooooooo.

Just a little different take to spark a friendly debate,

I have the "Mastering the Nikon D750" by Darrell Young from NikoniansPress
I will reread it when I get a chance.

I rarely if ever use Manual Flash, too old and I might forget to reprogram, LLOL

As a rule I shoot in manual and a occasion I use Aperture with a flash outdoor and indoor, I use Shutter speed outdoors if the lighting is good or for sports without a flash.

As I am older, I decided to try and use Shutter speed with a flash for fill, I noticed that the camera with go to the widest F stop, 1.8, 4 etc.
Is there something I am missing or not doing correctly to avoid this ?
I realize that common sense says that the Camera thru the lens needs to allow for maximum light, hence the reason for the wide f stop.
BUT, is there a way to get the camera to recognize that there is an active flash attached in shutter mode.

Hope I do not cause a "you are an idiot" response, I have been taking pictures for over 60 years and it never occurred to me to figure this out.

The reality is that the 50's was the revolution, the Beatles and Stones have always acknowledged that their music was a derivative of the 50's and the Beach Boys' Surfing' USA was pure Chuck Berry.
The electric guitar and amps were popularized in the era.

Here is a Music Question:
Who would you refer to as the true music icons that changed American Music over the century?
My 5 are:
(1)
Al Jolson, First well known entertainer to bring audiences from barbershop quartets and marching bands.
First person to sell a million records (1920 Sonny Boy) considering there was only approx. less then a million record players in the world, pretty impressive at the time. The Intro of Radio was a big help to him also.
(2)
Tie between Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra
Bing changed the style of singing and Sinatra claimed he imitated Crosby, but Sinatra generally is considered the one.
(3)
Hank Williams
Brought C&W to the entire country. most popular singers at some point have recorded a Hank Williams song.
(4)
Elvis
There are too many examples to give, even the hardest of critics would have to admit his influence on the change to Rock and Roll.
(5)
Madonna
Prior to her, female sings for the most part were statues standing in front of a microphone, Patti Paige, Supremes, Maguire Sisters, madonna changed all that.

Just my opinion, I know there are more, but I stopped at 5,

I know somewhere in this post, I commented on and thanked B&H for stepping up and working out a new arrangement with the software company.
I just wanted to repeat it as this may be the end of the thread.
I truly believe the software was one of those rarely sold items and the updates just got away from them.
Normally I do purchase software direct, I had a $58.00 credit from them, (Another great deal offered by B&H) and decided to use it.
I have been buying stuff from B&H and will continue to do so, all is well that ends well.
Again, thank you, B&H

There is one other situation that added to the problem, on the Portrait pro web site, the $59.95 buy (Studio) it does not say what version you are buying, having said that I guess I should have searched the web to verify the version.
Therefore, I wrongly thought that what B&H was selling was the up to date version.
The old Reagan motto, Trust but Verify,

While I sense sarcasm, your rationale is night and day to the issue, this is why so many people get turned off to these types of forums.
I simply asked a question if someone else had any dealing with this issue or product.
So putting aside my acknowledged failure, there could be an honest mistake and having information to have when replying was important rather then blindly accusing.
I wanted to get as much info for my response back to B&H and PP.
I have received 2 worth while responses from another site which frankly does not have a lot of members compared to this one.
One cited that indeed PP sells the v15 for $59.95 and that Amazon shows v12 as discontinued.

Having said that, I hope your comment was more said as humorous,
Greg

Yes, that is why I was up front about my failure to notice the version, it just seems unusual for B&H and I am trying hard not to go negative.
I posted this on the LR site since this was the PS and LR version and a member who uses Google, I still use Yahoo, yes I know !!!
His Google post shows that the version 15 is being sold by the software company for $59.95.
I do not see a way of posting a screen shot of it.
I will call B&H directly in the morning.

I decided to buy Portrait Pro "Studio" version which is being sold directly for $59.95 on their website. (Portrait Professional).
I had some credits with B&H so I decided to buy it thru them.
Frankly I did not pay attention to the full write up on the sale as it said Portrait Pro 12.
Version 15 has been out since 9-15-2015 from threads on various websites.
When I went to download the software there was a request to upgrade to v15 for an additional $44.95.
The upgrade said that it was normally $59.95 but because I had v12 they would reduce the purchase by $15.00 which would bring the total to $104.90.

I wrote to both B&H and Portrait Professional and neither responded with even an auto reply that they received the e-mails I sent.

Question:
Has anyone purchased v15 directly or indirectly from PP and was it for $59.95 or did they pull a bait and switch and ask for more money of $44.95.

I am trying to keep an open mind with B&H as I have used them for years without a single problem and want to make sure I understand where and who the problem lies with.

Thanks,
Greg
