Remember it well. How about The Saint, The Whistler, Inner Sanctum, Murder at Midnight, Green Hornet, Big Story, Mr. and Mrs. North? And others too many to remember in my fading memory. As you can tell I have been and still am a murder/mystery/thriller fan.

On the lighter side: Life With Luigi, Jack Benny, Life of Riley, Ozzie and Harriet, Fibber McGee and Molly, etc.

I remember some of these, but they must have been from the 40's to early 50's.

They were all in the 40's radio genre, but several became TV programs in the early 50's, such as Mr. and Mrs. North, Ozzie and Harriet, The Saint, Big Story, Life of Riley, etc., as did many other former radio programs like Ellery Queen, Richard Diamond, Boston Blackie, Amos 'n Andy, most of the TV soap operas from that era, and too many others to mention.

Too far back for me but, I ordered some old shows from that era on cassette tapes years ago. My favorite was X-1 and Dragnet.

I enjoyed Dragnet. "This is a city, I'm a cop, my names Friday, this is my partner, Thursday".
Or was it Saturday?

from 1938-1948, that's all we had in Cleveland Ohio. add to the list, the lone ranger, superman, the sheriff, sgt. preston, gangbusters, the smilin Ed show, and the great gildersleeve.

Dragnet - "Just the facts, ma'am." Or today, "Just the alternative facts, ma'am. We're not interested in the actual facts." Geez.

For sure. Listened every week!! Would not miss it. Sunday & Wed. Past recordings are on the internet. How about "Gang Busters", Nick Carter, The Green Hornet, Jack Armstrong, and many others? Nostalgia!!
Thanks for the post.

I remember "of it," and I've heard recordings. They had that great intro, which I like to imitate.

I remember it along with many of the others that have been cited. Alot of them are rebroadcast on the Sirus XM Classic Radio channel.

As a young child, every Sunday the family would drive to the other end of town and if we arrived before the end we simply stayed in the car till it was over. But that was the late 50's and early 60's. That line still pops out of my mouth from time to time.
