Nice shots Nikonover.
It sure has greened up down there since the drought ended.

Really like the subject matter, colours etc. great pics.
They may benefit a bit by reducing the opacity of the vignette a little

I to like HDR.
They certainly are vibrant, and I am sure many people will like these as they are nice shots.
For me they appear "a little overcooked"

Really liked the contrast of colour between the sky, hills and foreground.

Ugly Jake
I think that the subject image is great, but when zoomed in that close it really needs to be "tack sharp"

Thanks everyone for your kind words..
I agree with UJ, if I had it over I would include the top of the head.
I wouldn't zoom in any closer though, as it was to be a portrait and not a photo of the eye.

scheinin, Bracketing is commonly used for HDR images.
Setting the stops e.g. 0, +1 and -1 (or more) will give you three images. (or more if desired)
One correctly exposed, one underexposed giving you the full range of shadows, and one overexposed picking up the full range of highlights.
These are then merged together, tonemapped etc. giving an image with very fine detail that would not have been possible in the correctly exposed single image
