Like the lighting, don't like the tilt. What was the light source? Was the light modified? Did you apply any skin smoothing techniques?
Nothing exotic taking place, but since several people asked, I'm happy to outline my process steps:
#1 is the raw file, which will typically get adjustments to clarity, vibrance and dehaze as well as white balance. Then sharpening in LR along with noise reduction if needed. Next is Topaz Studio where the magic happens. In this case , after considering several filters in Impression and Simplify, I went to Texture Effects>
Street>Urban Grit. I generally consider different effect opacities and settled on ~70% (#2).
All shots hand held, ISO400 Nikon D850 w/24-70mm, processed in Lightroom and finished with Topaz creative filters. Please feel free to provide constructive criticism.
On the topic of lens correction, is there any reason not to have correction on by default and turned off if the situation requires (which I can't think of any)? Is "default on" a possibility?
Nice shot. I suggest you remove the birds as they will be confused with sensor dust and add nothing to the image.
camera is out of warranty, payment is probably best done through PayPal.
I have a D7200 in like new condition, very lightly used, fewer than 1000 shutter activations, with original box and all accessories which I'll sell for $600 plus shipping.
Thanks, but that is not a particularly useful number. Is it write or read speed? and does the card actually perform to the spec? Check out some of the other responses if you are interested. Turns out this is both complicated and dependent on a number of factors. I was initially motivated to try to determine if all my SD cards are legitimate or knock offs. Still haven't figured that out.
Thanks for all of the responses. burkphoto, I can't figure out what you're saying, must be me. Anyway, bottom-line is there does not appear to be a straight forward method of measuring "write speed". San Disk makes the following disclaimer on their website; "* Up to 95 MB/s read speed. Write speed up to 90 MB/s. Based on internal testing; performance may be lower depending upon host device." So they aren't much help.
By the way, anyone who thinks packaging will be sub standard on the counterfeit product doesn't have much experience with Chinese counterfeit capability. Some knock-offs not only match the OEM's packaging perfectly, but can include holograms put on the packaging to preclude such copying.
How can I check the write speed of an SD card? Additionally is there a way to confirm a card is not counterfeit?
If at all possible, I suggest taking your battery charger, extra battery and memory cards with in your hand luggage. Having lost my luggage enroute to Africa, I can tell you first hand that these items are not easily replaced and quickly become essential.
I'm considering switching from zoom lenses to primes for an upcoming trip to Europe. 3 prime lenses (28,50 and 85) should be much faster, sharper and lighter than the zooms they replace. What I want is some sort of 'preview' device to use to determine what each focal length will look like without mounting it on the camera. In the past, I've found I wind up mounting each lens to preview the shot. This results in much lens fumbling, etc. I think I've seen film directors with a small lens around their neck which I assume is for that purpose, but I can't find anything offered for sale. Any ideas?
