Thank you for the pic of your diffuser lonerangefinder. I shoot with a Sigma 150mm. Will that still work if my subject is farther away?

The light box is at work. It's a cardboard box with the panels replaced with white opaque cloth. I set one light on top and the other two on opposing sides. For the background I used a piece of granite rock. I may try again and use diffusers on the flashes outside the box. It Will be interesting because she reflects everything.

It's a definite challenge. I had reflections off the spider before I shot, just from any light source in the room. Tough subject. She was grooming and I think I caught the fangs barely exposed

thanks Erv. For some insane reason, I think the dark background highlights the insect. #2 could certainly be lighter. I'm wanting to improve so I may be wrong.

yea, the hummingbird moth is out of context. sorry. and it isn't a macro but as close to mcro as my 70-180 gets. thanks for the help!
